it looks like the single version has more of that wet look, while glitter in the palette version is more scattered. this is SUCH a helpful review, you helped me dodge a bullet, especially that i already own single space cowboy!

I accidentally repeated the description at 1:37. Space cowboy is described as “light champagne golden pearls with gold flecks.”

The put it out in Australia for $85 AUD which is way more than people who bought it from the USA paid. Thank you, you have saved me a lot of money for products that are not the same quality as the singles!

I love the pallets for the variety they bring. You can sheer them out or wear them full out and they always give a beautiful effect. While the formula doesn’t feel exactly like the original singles it is still a great formula and I don’t find I get very much fallout. It’s definitely worth the purchase if anyone is curious about it and like the color’s being offered in the pallets.

Thanks for the review..I have a Moondust drawer that I never declutter. I LOVE Moondust. It's interesting to know there are differences in the formula. I don't mind using a sticky base.

I was buying urban decay in the 90s and I’m sure you were too as well as everybody else but for those of us OG’s that used to hang out in the Nordstrom’s department with the hard candy and the urban decay glitters we are all familiar with space cowboy, midnight, cowboy, midnight, cowboy rides again and all of those glitter shadows they were our go to back then.

Thank you so much. I never heard this before from any other channel. I find this interesting. It was interesting that the channels that I watch love these singles. However, they said nothing about this particular palette. Crickets…. It is like they didn’t want to give a bad review.

Why would they do that? It's almost like them giving you inferior product because you are getting the individual colors in the palette at a discounted price vs the single.
I'm guessing it's due to pricing or manufacturing differences, but I really have no clue. 🥲
I understand why UD wouldn’t do what I’m about to suggest because I know those Moondust singles are iconic for them and I’m sure they would be worried about people not buying it, but I feel like they would have been better served with these to find a way to disclose that the palette is slightly different than their original Moondust single shadows. I personally still think this little palette is beautiful, I still would have purchased it. I don’t have the standard Space Cowboy single so I didn’t have any reference for the quality or formula, but I can 100% say the lack of the base on the one in the palette immediately had me questioning. I don’t have the most fair skin that has ever existed but I am a true light, so when I used it and there was no base I was pretty suspicious if it was different because so many people have Space Cowboy on like holy grail one-and-done status. With all that being said, I don’t regret having the palette and I still plan to purchase a couple of the full-size singles sometime during a sale or something like that. I appreciate your work and comparisons! 💕
Just got mine today and am currently comparing to my singles 😂. Swatch party! Have you gotten a chance to swatch any of the new shades in the singles though? I’m pondering cosmic space dust in the single too if it’s the other formula
No 😭 I actually heard the new shades in the singles are potentially a different formula too. I recommend to double check ingredients!

It happens more during application! When I add a small amount of the NYX glitter glue, there’s minimal fall out during application and throughout the day.
I prefer the formula of the one in the palette... IMO it's slightly better, but agree there is more fallout.
I respect your preferences! I think they’re both great either way.
