Repentance is not optional. It is not left to our choice whether or not we will repent, but it is an indispensable command. God has enacted a law in the High Court of heaven that no sinner will be saved except the repenting sinner, and he will not break his own law. No one can willfully continue in sin and expect to be covered by the blood of Christ. Even if all the angels stood before God and begged for the life of an unrepenting person, God would not grant it. The Lord God, compassionate and merciful, . . . who keeps faithfulness for thousands, . . . will by no means leave the guilty unpunished (Exodus 34:6-7). Though God is more full of mercy than the sun is of light, still He will not forgive a sinner who willfully continues to sin.
We have, by sin, wronged God. We have eclipsed his honor. We have infringed upon his law, and we should, reasonably, repent of our old ways. By repentance, we humble and judge ourselves for sin. We agree that God would be righteous if he destroyed us, and so we give glory to God and do what we can to repair his honor.
Dying to sin is the life of repentance. The very day a Christian turns from sin, he must require of himself a perpetual fast. The eye must fast from impure glances. The ear must fast from listening to slander. The tongue must fast from cursing. The hands must fast from bribes. The feet must fast from unclean paths. And the soul must fast from the love of wickedness. This turning away from sin implies a noticeable change in the lives of those who truly follow Christ.
Therefore let us, while we are on this side of the grave, make our peace with God!

@@Anekopress what for exactly, seems to me he's failed at everything, starting with protecting apples through having to kill everyone in a flood and then there is still sin and noah turns out to be a drunk. seems to me all god has achieved is getting a book published, albeit 2000 years after he wrote it, well, had it ghost written. can you think of anything god has succeeded in?
@@HarryNicNicholas Well, yes, I think He has succeeded in setting up a test to see if individuals are going to follow Him, or if they are going to do evil. Each of us is being tested, to see where our hearts are. The test seems to be working very well, most people are showing their true colors.
@@HarryNicNicholas The Lord is great and greatly to be praised for everything ACTUALLY 🥴 You are alive, you have enough function to communicate here on this advanced technology albeit confused and full of hate, ungratefulness, irreverence and hostility to your Creator who endowed you and lavished you with all your blessings. Do not be deceived, God is never mocked. Nor did He fail in anything, He is sovereign and you miss the point of absolutely everything in mangling His Word. There is no apple even mentioned in Genesis, His judgement is absolutely just. Highlighting the sin of a man God has mercy on is sad and despicable bc you are indeed of so much more, Noah was righteous bc He trusted God and the dates of his manuscripts are reliable, making statements about the Bible being published 2000 years later is ignorance on full display. You have so much to learn and I pray for the Lord to continue to hold back His wrath on you that His steadfast love abound for sinners in need of forgiveness and His saving faith through the Savior and Lord Jesus Christ!

I listened to the first half of the recording, very good. However, I haven’t gotten a clear definition of repentance. I’m sure I missed it, but if someone can supply a one or two sentence definition of repentance it would be appreciated. Thank you.

Repentance is a spiritual medicine made up of six special ingredients:
1. Sight of sin
2. Sorrow for sin
3. Confession of sin
4. Shame for sin
5. Hatred of sin
6. Turning from sin

what's the minimum i have to do to get into
heaven? i mean i don't really want to go there cos christians are horrid immoral sinners to a man, but i don't
want to burn either, so what the absolute least i can do to get in? here must be a limit eh? and it would help
so many lazy people like me who just want to avoid hell, so what's the trick, what do i have to do to fool god
into admission? cos it seems to me people do an AWFUL lot of work when they just need to figure out a couple of
things and they can spend sunday constructively, instead being moaned at about how bad they are.
Well, I have good news for you. The bare minimum you need to do is to be known of Christ. Look to Jesus and live. But, I'd hate to be the one who names the name of Jesus, but then continues living in sin. I think that would result in some serious consequences. So the idea of repentance is that we turn from our wickedness, and follow Jesus. He is really good though, and his ways are awesome. You wouldn't regret giving up whatever lifestyle you need to give up, and truly following Christ. I'm talking about the Christ of the Bible, not some misconstrued idea that you might hear elsewhere. Read the Gospel of John, and read the words of Jesus. See if you don't agree with me, that he is awesome.

Sor from the content of your video's on your CZcams I perceive that you are into the new age philosophy I once was. If Yu our truly want to know truth then call on the name of Jesus with a sincere heart and pursue him for he is the truth the way and the life. Aot that you are a sinner and need a savior to save you from the consequences of sin the wrath and hell itself. Repent from your wickedness and realize that anything outside of truth is wickedness. Do, search , call out in repentance and ask for salvation and believe on the gospel of salvation , the work of the cross, his death and his resurrection will shine in your heart as the only truth to eternal life his grace and then your faith in Christ will come to life in your mind and in your heart
only those who love God will get into heaven.
