The currents at Boynton Inlet will put your skills to the test!! What do you think happened to the boat taking on water? 👀😱

We’re you able to get the scoop 🙃on the boat taking on water?
Looked to me like the vessel has been slid up on the beach a few times too many. Possibly worn through keel causing the leak.

I'm with the "Where's the bilge pump?" crew. Also, a Hinkley with a fly bridge? I've not seen that before.

that’s why you make sure your bilge pump is working always go a size bigger. usually their a little lift you pull on to make sure.

Boats this size do not have inside drain plugs but have bilge pumps and I didn't see one running during the video. It's very important to check all your pumps and plugs before leaving the marina/ boat ramp. Having a couple extra bilge pumps on hand and some extra hose is always a good idea. Just saying..

Must have had a premature leak to begin with. I don't trust boats as hard as I drive them this I have extra batteries and 2 high flow bilge pumps to at least help if need be and I have had a transom leak where the pumps did help me get back to shore without sinking

Sinking boat did not seem to be scooping up that much water to cause so much distress. The bow seemed to be flooded. Negative bow boats like that need to have a forward and stern bilge pump. Additional water was coming in from somewhere else.

Make sure your bilge pump and everything else is working before you leave the dock, especially at these rough inlets. Ron

Those twin 250’s we’re straining pushing all that water weight.

I do not think that Bayliner's transom was designed for those heavy 4 stroke engines. I have seen transoms crack and the boat takes on water while moving as the torque pulls the transom away from the boat widening the crack allowing water to flow in. Also the captain needs to learn how to not over steer a boat when going at slow speed.

Does no one know how to trim a boat to put it's bow in the air and let it start draining it's self? WAYYY back in the "day" we used to pull the drain plug, put it in the air and drain any excess water running down a lake. Worked great, just don't loose the plug!!!

Cannot remove that particular boats drain plug from the inside and bilge pump blah blah blah. They would need to cut the engines and get under water at the back with a wrench depending on the plug, get it out.. fire the boat up.. trim the engines and give it quarter throttle or whatever for awhile. Then make a new plan. Whatever is going on with that boat is deep down in the hull.

That guy should turn on his bilge pump unless it's not working which is a possibility

Guy needs to know how to operate a boat in heavy seas or stay off the water. Way to many people who buy boats that know little about boating...
