The song Durdaraz by the Kazakh poet-improviser and composer Eshniyazsal Meidimululy (1834-1902) He was one of the most prominent representatives of Kui in the country.
This folk song has a very lyrical text, but Dimash sings it in his native language very powerfully, almost in a fighting manner. In addition, synchronous somersaults in a confined space and elements of the kata (martial art) integrated into the dance.
* Kui are musical compositions for mainly string instruments (Dombra, Kobyz). Kazakh nomads expressed all of their daily life, surroundings, events and feelings through kuis.
