@@catisreckless4647 tbf, the ending for the Mist movie was completely changed from the novella. In the novella there is no twist ending, after reaching the car they just keep driving till they decide to take refuge for the night, where David (the main character) hears a voice on a radio that just says "Hartfort" and the group drives off into the mist towards Hartford, and that's where the book ends. Granted if you're talking for the rest of the movie which IIRC was fairly accurate to the novella I can't say anything for that.

I remember The Arrival. I loved its twist. It also shows how different their minds were. She wasn’t the only one studying the language. They were studying the language together, yet she was the only one who started to see time non-linear way. Also, the whole “dead daughter” thing was awesome, because we thought it was a flashback, but in reality it was a flashforward the whole time.

He cuts out his tongue to make amends for telling the siblings' secret. This is in exchange for his daughter never knowing the truth of who he is. It's a lot deeper than you thought and makes the movie better.

How the T-850's goal was never to stop Skynet or prevent Judgement Day, the rise of the machines was entirely inevitable. The only two 'survivors' of the fifth movie are on an airplane in the final scene, in what would've been a 'riding off into the sunset' trope. They cut together unused footage of the first film into it seamlessly, making it seem as if the two were on that infamous flight that kickstarted the Final Destination franchise in the first place. Us ripped off The Simpsons. I remember watching that movie and thinking “I saw this on the Treehouse of Horror, Bart’s “evil twin” is hidden in the basement and it turns out that Bart was the evil twin all along.

The "Doppelgängers/Twins have been switched" is quite an old trope and a staple of the doppelgänger genre, so I wouldn't say that they ripped off The Simpsons, they just used the same old trope. That said, unless you never have seen or read something with a "Doppelgänger/Evil Twin/Evil Duplicate/copy" plot before, this kind of twists aren't surprising, they are amongst the most predictable twists in horror stories, similar to "the bad guys isn't really dead yet".

Anyone else get chills when they hear that song during the Mist? I've seen this moving a thousand times and I still get them. Such a sad ending.

Theres no "interpretation" at the end of Shutter Island. He realises who he is and what he did.

They mean when he seemingly switches back to believing he's teddy Daniels, but the last line can be interpreted either way. That he does remember but is choosing to be lobodomized anyway, or he has repressed the memories once again and truly believes he's teddy Daniels. I think he's choosing to be lobodomized because he can't deal with the guilt, but it is all about opinion.
