- Auto Racks Train With DPU & Truck Frames Working Hard On The CSX Main Line In Trenton, Ohio. Railroad action at the park & see how I got stuck at the railroad crossing with a HUGE train coming off the Indianapolis Sub in Hamilton, Ohio. 4 trains in this video. The first train is in front of houses with a perfect view of the railroad action! That looks cool! Then we see 2 other trains near the Trenton Community Park. On our way home I heard a train coming into Hamilton just as I was passing through. I immediately turned around and headed to the crossing and got lucky! I was stuck at the crossing for about a dozen minutes getting to witness just about everything that the railroad hauls including the bathroom sink.
The best part of this video is the unit auto racks and auto parts train with the DPU pushing hard on the rear. That was really cool son!
Filmed in 1080p with 60fps on Friday, October 21, 2022AD

I believe the duck is saying: “Feed me, feed me!” Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
That last train emptied a yard somewhere. You are right about the kitchen sink - I am sure I saw it on one car :)
Merci beaucoup pour cette très belle vidéo ! ✨✨
👍Very good week! Thank you very much! 🙏
I counted: 122 cars for the 1st train, 70 cars for the 2nd, 145 cars for the 3rd and 147 cars for the 4th. A beautiful collection!
Thanks. I always lose count when he moves the camera.

That northbound must be going to a truck plant.
I watch trains in the comfort of my living room, and they don't wake me in the middle of the night. THANK YOU,
15:33 A little WD-40 fix that right up
The two streets that parallel the tracks are Baltimore and Ohio Sts

Great video and keep up the good work God bless from GA stay safe
Awesome video today. Great location and good catch on the 'Spirit of Dante' CSX heritage engine. Wooo DPU! Hey Norfie and Dupps!! Chessie and friends!!
Awesome video!
wow, is that a long train or what!
My phone gave me a low battery warning as the train was passing.
Always strange to see a FERROMEX auto rack! Great vid! Team Norfie!!!!!
Great video John tooth thank you for the morning video
Seemed like a Short distance for the first train to activate the crossing signals and then slowly go thru it.
Speaking of speed, where’s that Radar Gun lately JT❓
Fantastic video Jaw Tooth thank you very much love the trains
One of your best dog, cat and duck shows. Oh, and the trains were nice too.
Thanks for watching !
@@JawTooth thanks for the great videos.
It's always great to see new places. That spirit of Dante engine was a good catch! Norfie couldn't resist chasing the duck lol. Thanks for sharing!
Hamilton train was probably going in to New Miami yard
Live action! Duck is bolder but cool Norfie and Chessie chase the duck. Brandy and Sophia seem more energized too.
The animals are taking over. Save the Duck.
Some action in Trenton and Hamilton. It was cool to see those 3 YN2 paint scheme locos together ,it was low the good ole days of CSX. 391 is a Spirit Unit .( Spirit of Dante) Thanks for taking us a long.
I see that Dupps the duck is getting a bit tamer now and comes to you rather than running away. Another great video with some big long trains! Those binding brakes on the last train could cause some deep trouble ahead. Hope he hadn't too far to run!
This was the street where you filmed the derailment back in may. It was coming off the Indianapolis line
Hi JT your kitty almost got herself a duck dinner but little duck is to smart for her ❤
Good morning 🌞☀️😃 jaw tooth hopefully I see you some time in Marion Ohio or somewhere nice video
Have you ever film the Christmas train that runs in Carmel Indiana? It’s a little east of Indianapolis. It’s runs on CSX line might be something nice for your young viewers to see the Santa train. I really like your videos me and my big dog watch them together. Have a good day.🚂😘
Great captures JT 👍👌😇

Norfie scared the duck off lol. What kind of duck? Love the brown patch on the chest.
Amazing video my friends
Great one today. Poor duck, just can't seem to buy a friend these days. At least the horse is his buddy. LOL
Nice, crisp video. Love the shots.
Great as always 👍👍👍👍👍🦆
I enjoyed that video👍👍
Wow a lot of long train traffic today JT saw a few SP auto rack cars . Has there been any word about Hobo Shoestring I heard that he is missing is this true ? Keep up with your great work ! 😎🌞😊👨✈️
That was quite a catch of the train coming off the Indianapolis Sub - three YN2's led by the Spirit of Dante. How awesome!
awesome
1st train is very awesome, with the soft spoken k5la with one fouled horn out of five, love it JT
Thank you very much!
My two years old grandson is in love with your videos thanks
That is awesome!
Whoa ! Some long trains!!! Luv animals! Duck is talking a lot today!!!
What determines where the DPU is placed
On longer trains they are more likely to be somewhere in the middle. On shorter trains more likely at the end. Note units at the end of a train is not always a DPU
Weight, make up of the train-such as lots of long draw bars. As the weather gets colder more trains will use distributed power to help with the air.
There's no special rules for DPU position in the consist. Just weight, length and grades as factors. Mainly not to break the couplers.
I will give you a link of just the video you need :czcams.com/video/8M9pErSaElk/video.html
Thanks for this nice video!
Good assortment of trains. And Norfie, Chessie, Brandy, Sofie & Mr. McDuck.
Thank you too!
Great to see a new location and to see a train running top&tail. Thanks, JT👍
Thanks for watching !
My thoughts exactly. BTW, a fellow Brit by any chance?

@@andyrichardsvideovlogs8835 Ah! Almost Last of the Summer Wine country. Greetings from Cornwall!
That last train looked like a "yard clearing special."
I always like when you move to locations so you can hear the roar of the locomotives without the horn! Sounds so sick, especially when they're haulin' tail!
I love that too unfortunately some talk over that great sound of horses working. Not JT.
Thank you Jaw Tooth..great action
Cool video in a cool location with cool catches on a cool day! Love the duck! She needs a mate so she will stick around! Shes a Peeking mix, maybe you could pick up a Drake somewhere! I used to raise White Peekings and tame Mallards, they will mix! Thanks for sharing Jawtooth!👍
Thanks 👍
The locations and trains were great, good long trains. Great job! Norfy showed dorfy who's boss!
Nice catches! .and live action at home! Great video JT!👍👍
You always get really good videos JT. Great job!😃
Thanks for watching !
Another great video of all the catches of CSX trains! I counted the 1st train that consisted of 122 AUTORACKS! And I saw that some were the ARTICULATED AUTORACKS too. You certainly picked some great locations to get some great footage! The last train you intercepted was definitely was a long one with plenty of mixed freight cars! Nice job as always JT and appreciate your PRICELESS time and effort! Cheers from Delmar, Delaware.
Those first three trains were doing pretty well getting over the road in a timely fashion. Alas the 4th train had entered the no man's land of Cincinnati and the brakes were starting to apply to see how many grade Crossings they could block. Add in the leaking air hose and you're going to start saying "this train is slow as slurry" The last train also in about every size shape and capacity it looked like a freight car. catalog. Note the DODX container flat near the front quite possibly from Crane NWS IN. That UP brand new boxcar one untouched next to the one with the long fingernail mural. JT take a look at the grade crossing arm and you'll notice all the graffiti on it even they have more than enough time stuck on that side of the Crossing to do their artwork. Thank goodness Dupps has high adhesion running capabilities to leave Norfie in the dust always fun to watch that GE 25 tonner shake a tail feather! Always a great day Trackside
I live in Ft. Myers, FL and we lost our railroad to Mr. Ian. They had four bridges destroyed including their longest one that’s about a mile long over the Caloosahatchee River. The railroad is vital to our economy because building materials and natural gas are brought to us by rail and all the scrap metal created by the hurricane gets shipped out by rail. I hope Washington has some money that they can divert from Ukraine to the SGRR and get them running again.
Use to watch Seaboard Coast Line trains cross the River from the north shore side in a gravel extension of Steveson Rd in N. Fort Myers during the '70s.

Hey Jaw tooth did you work for the railroad? Love the videos. I would like to see more N&S and Amtrak train’s than CSX
Jaw tooth and that's cool new place film trains ❤ 😊
That amazes me about how many Auto racks there are out there!
Chessie , Norfie, and now a duck.
Those trains have been cool rolling. Thank you for having me in mind.
seems like there is a big difference between the gates and how soon they come down before the train meets the crossing...cutting it kinda close sometimes!! I guess it depends on the speed?
I believe that the regulation is that the gates should be down 30 seconds before the train gets there. Modern systems can detect the train's speed so that traffic is not held up for too long. The gates can go back up if the train stops or slows down significantly.
JAW TOOTH I feel sorry for the duck he's always alone Thanks for the show. From New York
I still am looking for a "JAW TOOTH" on the side of one of those auto racks!! Great video !!
Real good video, JT. Thank you for the trains, and your pet entertainers toward the end. That big duck is taking a chance around Norfie!
Thanks 👍
Thanks for keeping us on the trains. Love it.
The train you asked about had 149 cars in it. The first auto rack train was a two-miler.
hello mr jaw tooth i'm a loyal subscriber from indonesia i love watching your cool train videos, i'm also a railfan and i also like to upload train videos on my youtube channel
Duck doesn't like the cat.
Thanks again for sharing another great video!
Great location with great content.
Glad you enjoyed it
Duck: hey Norfie feel like partying?
Hey there Mr. Jaw Tooth from Trucker Russ of Cleveland ,Ohio and another Great Video from you for sure ! 🙄 Like you said in beginning of this video , it's too bad that you could not get a little closer to those tracks where the signals were facing in opposite directions becuz of those No Trespassing signs that are posted and speaking of signals i'm Surprised that you didn't notice and / or mention the fact that the red wig- wig R x R signals facing you as you were pulling up to that crossing in Hamilton , Ohio ( at the mark of 13:53 of this video ) were Not Working Properly ... They were for some reason intermittently Blinking and then Not Blinking for the Entire Time that the train was going past in front of you ! 🤔 I would have pulled over to the right and called up CSX to let them know that was an issue with those signals just on that side of the crossing ! 😟 The signals on the far side of the crossing from you looked to be working just fine ... 👍Anyway , keep up the Good Work and stay Safe ! 😉
Nice to see several Southern Pacific auto rack.
Great new location. Amazing how many auto racks there are up there. Great video thanks !!
Thanks 👍
Happy all your videos are so awesome and enjoyable. Keep them coming. Happy railfanning!
Wow, Son. That was a log one!
Awesome that's long trains anyway watching enjoying and enjoy the side show too AWESOME Jaw Tooth 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😃😎❤️❤️
7:23,that empty lot in front of those houses you liked, used to be a slaughter house! It was from that blue building to the end of the street! I lived there and was on the volunteer rescue squad when it burnt down, 1987 or so.
A lot of Live Action!! Great report! Thank you very much Mr. Jaw Tooth!! 😀👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
My pleasure!!
Unquestionably, you are the best on CZcams for train videos, second to no one👌
Thank you so much 😀
Good morning from New Orleans la 🌞☀️
Good Morning from Michigan
Great video. I Love the old buildings.
Great good made video, mr Jaw Tooth.
Do you hear that noise from the train and do you smell the ......that was the breaks of the railcars and that noise to short grease in the bearingpots. Not done here in Europa. The railcars in Europa are in perfect condition.
Clean and without much rust.
Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands.
Some pretty awesome catches at new locations always like that. All were very big trains, especially the last one, no wonder those DPUs are always working hard. Norfie chasing that duck was priceless, and chessie and company messing around made me smile. Love the work u do to make such awesome videos. Thank u JT.👍🏼🚂🐶
Thanks for your time and trouble, and thanks when I got axle count too.
Awesome train video and that duck quacks loud lol JT!!!
Cold and snowy in Colorado today! Love watching your videos, thank you for braving the weather to bring us the best train videos around.
Glad you like them!
Great video to hope to get some car career to trains in hapers ferry
You had a good day for train watching in Trenton, Ohio and in Hamilton, Ohio on 21 October 2022, Jaw Tooth! There were some long trains in both of those locations. You mentioned how cruddy one of the freight cars looked on one of the trains. I have noticed that too in recent years. It seems like railroads and car leasing companies do not want to spend time and money to refurbish freight cars. I remember when the Chicago & North Western Railroad would refurbish a series of freight cars in their Clinton (Iowa) car shop. CNW would sandblast and repaint freight cars and take wheel sets off the cars and put new wheel sets on the cars. The replacing of the wheels on cars did away with all the flat spots on wheels that make the noise that we hear today when a train passes. It seems to me that management does not take pride in the equipment with their company name that is running around on the rails.
😊lok driver from the 391 was waving,cooool.😅
Yes, that was cool! Sometimes they blow the horn
Great catch of that Conrail boxcar
Well done on the video as usual. Can't always remember a railcars serial number, but the tagger art is memorable. Saw a few cars that have made it through my town's RR crossings.
Awesome video my friend ❤️👍
Lots of auto racks today!!!
Fabulous
