💛 FUN FUN FUNCTION
Since 2015, Fun Fun Function (FFF) is one of the longest running weekly CZcams shows on programming 🏅 thanks to its consistency and quality reaching 200,000+ developers.
🤦♂️ The Failing Together concept is what makes FFF unique. Most coding content out there focus on step-by-step tutorials. We think tutorials are too far removed from what everyday development is like. Instead, FFF has created a completely new learning environment where we grow from failure, by solving problems while intensively interacting with a live audience.
Tutorials try to solve a problem. Failing Together makes you grow as a developer and coworker.
📹 Each show is recorded live on Twitch in a 2-hour livestream on Mondays. The host, assisted by the audience, is tasked to complete a programming challenge by an expert guest. Like in the real world, we often fail, and learn from it. This, of course, reflects what the audience identifies with, and is one of the most praised aspects of the show.
⏯ On Fridays, an edited version of the show is adapted for and published on CZcams.
Content Topics revolve around: JavaScript, Functional Programming, Software Architecture, Quality Processes, Developer Career and Health, Team Collaboration, Software Development, Project Management
Thank you MPJ for including me in this wonderful discussion!
at 4:27 you look at the camera to check if it shut off hahah!!!!! ;-)
Hooray for seeing you and MPJ in the same video!
Hello. I learned regular expressions from your channel )))
Looks like you aren’t the only person with camera issues 😂
Was wondering from where did you get that sweater. Now I know.
Love the collaboration between two of the best CZcams channels!
Daniel Shiffman has no bad side.
OMG the Shifftrain!
they have a crossover stream on Coding Train channel about React/P5 (setup mostly :) )
Hey MPJ thank you so much for this! I've been learning JS on my own for about six months (trying to build my own app in react native), and sometimes I struggle with motivation. I feel overwhelmed not only by the number of frameworks, tools and libraries available, but also by the number of things I need to do (and learn how to do) just make something production-ready. AND also by the hundreds of things I think I could do with code given the time, patience, energy, financial resource etc.
Seeing videos like this where you and other experienced programmers talk candidly about your work helps me feel a little less like I'm on my own, which provides great motivation for me. Even if you never read this I just wanted to express my gratitude to you for keeping me inspired!
best 2 teacher of js in whole youtube, so coool people.
Got the cast of Internet Avengers here. All of you are amazing, thanks for putting this together.
Not gonna lie, I would love if this was a recurring podcast!! These guys are awesome and they have so much to talk!!
Shirley Wu from Front-end Masters ✨
question -- What is your review of this course? Would you recommend it? I was thinking about taking it to better understand D3. I also have way more python experience than js
waking up to this, how can I possibly have a bad day now? lol it's Dan and MPJ, good monday morning indeed.
Whoa, recognized Shirley from frontend happyhour as soon as she started talking
I love this format !
4 gurus at the same table! Awesome. This could have been many hours longer and I would have watched it all. Imagine what they would have created if they all starting coding together!
Those 2 mins without video felt like the longest 2 mins ever! getting a visual felt like I was on this side of the table. Having to hold back so much input was also really difficult. hehehe the best collab video on youtube!
ok I know where 47 minutes of this day is going for sure
Two of my favorite JS instructors. Both brilliant, both enjoyable, both gifted teachers.
I love how everyone is collaborating. This is an amazing thing from the perspective of a learner. I think it's super effective to get to know different peoples and thier thoughts and opinions. We'll learn so much.
Daniel, your inside is your good side. Thank you all.
The work of everyone in this table is incredibly amazing.
I know Canon DSLRS tend to have time limits on recording video. There are ways around it. I believe Magic Lantern is one. It's an external software that you install on your camera, but lifts some unreasonable limits on Canon's integrated software. Might be worth a check. Use at your own risk.
Enjoyed the video!
Yeah, I use it on the cameras that support it, unfortunely not a lot do, including this one.
Awesome! Great chemistry with everyone! Keep it up
Loved this! I'd really like to see more of these if you get the chance. It is really interesting to get to know how other people think/work.
Avengers :) -- hahaha, I have been following MPJ and Shiffman for quite a time now, good to see them both together.
15:28 I agree with you Dan, it's just different ways to express. And art doesn't need to be useful, just pleasurable.
Very nice collaboration, I sometimes watch The Code Train too. And it's very cool that you have the second person in your video that appeared at Google KeyNote.
Please do more of this 💕
Canvas is just immediate mode rendering and the advantages of this have been known for a long time in game development circles. Take a look at John blows streams or handmade hero.
Liked, shared, subscribed already and commenting too. This one is awesome!!
I'm a novice in data visualization stuff, but the fine details helped me a lot. Loved it!
Dan is use to the camera going off, it a normal thing on the coding train..
😭😭😭
Lol 😂
I'm mormon and I haven't left your channel yet MPJ! No worries though :)
Loved the discussion. Hope to see more of these.
Great talk!!!...
Wow! Shiffman and MPJ, at the same time, in the same video!
Dan's good side is his inside.
You'll be a good interviewer for sure, I'll love to see more videos like this one.
Yeah, I love doing interviews!!
Luv this video! Have it on the background while coding :)
All four were great
always impressed with that little zoom recorder.
That right and left channel trippiness. Zoooom!
This is wonderful! Very very good.
Great people with gr8 discussion
Looking forward to this chat - doing a lot of work on data visualisation in MS Power BI at the moment but really interested to see what kind of programatical solutions are out there and maybe have a little play!
I really enjoyed this discussion.
Please do MORE of this kind of videos!
This is like Christmas for me!!
Excelente videos. Good this videos, i like the format, and that meetings

Your inside is the good side. And that is aallll that matters

25:00 Vue and React. Enjoy! Turns into D3
thanks
31:24 nice question: how to interact with canvas
It's Shirley Wu !!
it is!
Who came here just to see Shiffman?
This was awesome!!
SHIFMAN!! AHHHH!!
I do not know if it is intentional, but I really appreciate that in this type of interviews there is gender equality, thanks to your program I have been able to meet excellent female programmers, who are a great contribution to the industry.
It just turned out that way really due to whom I know in NY. I have no problem pushing female role models but in this case it was not intentional effort at all.
Genitals are relevant.
Please. Nobody should care about what genitals are between the legs of a developer.
@@davlmt How dare you, sir?
I'm going to be honest, I am really tired of this "I am glad I met a female programmer" mentality. This is not how to be progressive...
What about chart.js for data visualization ?
omg the dream team
2 teachers in the same time
until 26min,,,that's why I am here😂
What is that intro lol!
thats a lot of coffee
MORE
this one Japanese on the right look nice
I hate python not because is better or worse...but because its actual users are so flexing about it :)
