Sir, that bilge/ows pump which is said as mono screw pump, is it same progressive cavity pump, as stator is mostly damaged made up of rubber kind of material, which needs to be changed??

@@merchantnavydecoded Sir, from the video those OWS pump, jo aapne bola mono screw pump hai, i thought ki it is progressive cavity pump, as it looked similar design. So my query was if mono screw pump is alternate name of progressive cavity pump or both are very different?

Lo pump is centrifugal pump or positive displacement pump
Nowadays we use submersible centrifugal pump, since we are feeding lube oil starting with Crosshead first and for better lubrication at Xhead, centrifugal pump is best suited for the reason of discharge rate.

As Sir said for transfer purpose we use gear and screw pump.

beta its hard to predict future of a whole trade but one thing is sure that my future lies in my hands . I am not bothered if tomorrow Merchant navy fades away because I have complete faith on myself that IF I DONT DO THIS , I WILL SURELY DO SOMETHING BETTER AND I WILL NOT GIVE UP.

what if the high pressure pipe leaks and the oil splashes on hot pipes or turbocharger , a sureshot cause of fire
