The idea to do this began to fulfill a wish of someone celebrating being one year out of leukemia, a parent and friend who loves all things Bollywood. Some drawn by that mission and others purely by the great energy of the song and dance, it grew among friends and beyond, all levels of dancers or non-dancers welcome. People shared with us more stories of how cancer impacted their lives and how this dance, with the intention behind it, brought them hope and comfort. We all were reminded of the wonder and magic of a true flash mob: that within the mundane and the hard, there still exists ecstatic joy and celebration everywhere, in everyone. Dance and music, from any part of the world, can unite us all in joy.
You're all qualified to attend Indian Weddings according to INDIAN WEDDING QUALIFICATION EXAMS ... you've passed the test... LOL.

This is a perfect example of how immigrants can bring so much to wherever they go. This was immigrant's music that was appreciated by the local people of that community. It brought joy to the cancer surviving lady and she wanted to spread it around. So isn't it lovely to see how "joy" is so contagious and the side effects are big smiles and a happy, lighter heart. Here in USA Indian dance introduced as weight loss, for fitness called Bollywood Dance Yoga, per session of 30 to 45 mints max charge $45 some charges $50 as well or bundle like 3 months $400 1 or 2 sessions per week. I heard mostly 1 session per week, minimum 5 students required in class. Now think man how love from India, this is business but now it's fever of bollywood yoga dance to americans so they paying for it.
Now I'm curious as to how this even came to be but wow what a dance! My favourite was the mom with her kid strapped to her chest who kept making the hand movements of the dance xD

This is one of the best Bollywood flashmobs I have seen only because it has "ferengirs". Of course there will be Bollywood flashmobs with Indians and Indian looking foreigners, but when I see caucasians dancing so magnificently to Bollywood music it lifts my spirit.
