Tor-steel rods need to be covered with a certain thickness of concrete to avoid corrosion. This is not neccessary when CFRP-rods are used. Also CFRP-rods are used in form of a kind of grid contruction for holding textiles applied in form of a tent. Important is to know that carbon fibres need to be loaded by tensile forces or bending forces not by compression.
