Vermont is where I would want to live if I was staying in the US. I loved it before Bernie, but he sealed the deal for me. Anyplace that produces politicians like him, who appears to be a reflection of people in the state, is a place i want to live. Bonus is that the state is absolutely gorgeous. Another great video!

I can't understand the hate for wind turbines. I think they are absolutely stunning, so stately and elegant. I've only ever seen 1 in person and I just love them.
I totally agree - I did a road trip through Texas a couple years ago and had to pull over and stand under them they were so beautiful. Moving sculpture….I was just mesmerized. There were hundreds of them in TX.
That is the first thing I notice when I return to the US for visits from Germany where I live, that powerlines are everywhere. They are buried in Germany for the most part and it looks much nicer and protects them from storm damage, so we suffer far less from outages.

Loved seeing these states, ive not been to north-east part of country. Coffee sounds delicious. My dad has an rv like yours and he passed this summer. I drove it in to winterize and thought of you! It will sell with estate, but seems like such a great life.

very cool, I live closer to the Rutland VT area, but I'm up in the Waterbury, Stowe, Williston area pretty much every weekend... it's pretty wild to watch and know exactly where you were, then of course my mind went to, oh shit all the places I could have told her to stop.... but I'm sure you get a ton of suggestions and you can't stop at them all...lol

I totally agree with your views on the political anger that has plague a lot of our rural towns..I see it every single day.. the trucks with flags and nasty stickers and hateful signs..It makes me angry and disappointed. Eventually I will have to move away to someplace where peaceful rainbow flags are flying in order to protect my mental health.

I love all these historic districts, they remind me of home here. We call the areas Old Downtown and the Walmart area to distinguish between the two.

One problem with the wind turbines is that it basically karate chop birds as they're flying by. Nevermind when they start to squeak and grind period and then oh yeah maybe the timber might have an effect on you if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time. What a hot mess it would be when a tornado goes through

Did you here of the Stephen Huneck Gallery in St Johnsbury, VT.? I do not know if it's still open, since I had visited that Gallery many years ago! There's a nice yard to walk Sadie - and his art is entirely based on Dogs! There is a small memorial "chapel" there in honor of all dogs who have passed, where you can leave your condolences of your loved one's doggies. People have left tons of small notes on the walls! Check it out: Apparently, the website is still up and running. There's snowshoeing, etc. allowed!
Please send a donation to keep it going, if it's still up and running - it is a fabulous memorial to dogs!! I hope you can squeeze in a side trip - it's worth it!
You got some very nice photos and footage! And that is a very smart dog. She definitely understands what you are saying. Maybe not the actual words but that isn't necessary. That was a whole conversation that took place about that log.

Oh Sadie is so funny! She is reminding me of my first marriage when we had a wood stove and we went to get a cord of wood. We came home and was unloading the wood. My ex was throwing the pieces of wood off the truck and I was stacking them. The dog, Mike, was trying to grab every big piece of wood and carry it back to his "Dad" at the truck. It was so funny. Thanks for the memory. :)

As a native Californian we moved to Dover, NH for 4 years it was the best experience ever! I miss New England so very much I would move back in a heartbeat 💗I hope you drove the Kangamanguswhile in NH this is a stunning time of year to go there.

I’ve lived in Vermont for 8 years now and never heard a single hound. I’ve never seen dog cages in the back of pickup trucks. I LOVE VERMONT! Taxes are what it costs to attend the party called civil society. You get what you pay for. More expensive homes pay more in taxes. Want low taxes, try Mississippi. Want no taxes? Become a billionaire.

@@VTLibtard I don't think the taxes are too high. We paid more in Florida when we lived there than we do in VT. I love the organic farm-to-table movement here and the farmer's markets. It's a great place to live and raise a family.
Growing up in central VT many of my friends were French Canadians. When my best friend would call home from my house it would be "hello mama", and then all french until "goodbye"

Crossing the Champlain Bridge...my Dad and my grandfather were at the dedication of the original bridge back in 20's. Since my dad was at the original ribbon cutting, he and a number of other "old timers" were invited to the ribbon cutting for the brand new bridge that you just crossed. They got to ride in antique cars to replicate the original ribbon cutting.

Lived in Montreal as a child. We went on drives to Malone, St. Albans and Swanton all the time. Nice to see some of them again. Now live in Connecticut, don't forget this state on your travels!

Great episode. Vermont is on my list of places to visit. I am a Sanders policy supporter so it always amaze me when people say they like Sanders and his policies but vote for the other candidate instead. How will America make any progress when we vote against ourselves - our futures?

Should have bought several tomatoes and had a mater sandwich. Bread, Mayo, salt & pepper, tomato slices…..mmmmm! My favorite BLT, add the lettuce and bacon.
Oh yes, and the rain thing…even still this has been the wettest year in my memory…this is November I am watching and I am guessing from this photogenic you were here in September? The rain has increased since September if anything. Thanks for all you share. I really enjoyed seeing you in places I have been…really enjoyed this episode!
There wasn't any foliage here in September. I reside in Vermont. She had to have been here during the first to second week of October. If I had to guess exactly it would have been the first week up to the 6th or so because everything was still quite green and no where near peak. The route she took from Route 11 in New York...across the Bridge to VT, through Alburgh...into St. Albans...is the route I take when I go to NY to the casino and come back home to VT. It surely is beautiful in VT and NY in the fall. If you have never seen New England in the fall.. I invite you to try to visit at some point because it really is very gorgeous.
Now I want to go to Vermont!

Village Arts of Putney is located in an old red Barn in Vermont! Four years ago I took a workshop in Alla Prima oil painting with Michelle Dunaway who studied with the late great Richard Schmid, famous for his wonderful oil paintings and for authoring several books on art. You would love Putney! I did!

You are hearing radio from Quebec and maybe even New Brunswick. Toronto and most of Ontario speak English. Ottawa and eastern Ontario by the Quebec border are bilingual! Glad you like hearing French but the French Canadians don't have the same accent as people from France hehe

I think as we get older, it’s easier to remember when we struggle, then when we’re carefree and things just work out. I think we have to have more faith that things will be OK. We know what the worst possible thing would be, and usually it’s not as terrible as we think.

I have been meaning to comment on this through all of your travels but in this video it seems most fitting… Throughout my travels last summer before the election I stayed mostly in Montana due to Covid since that is my home state. I had once sported a Montana pride and an equality sticker on the back of my van. Going through so many Trump loving counties I actually felt the need to peel those stickers off for fear of my own safety. I am back in Illinois for the holidays now but when I head back out in January I will be putting my stickers on again. If people can post such hateful banners, Flags, and billboards I should be able to wear my pride stickers proudly! Thank you for always staying true to yourself and not caving to viewership and subscribers. Keep being YOU and keep promoting your awesomeness and love🤗💜
Nowhere, I hear ya and I"m sorry you've felt you had to kinda hide who you are to stay safe in this toxic environment we're living in.
That's another thing I think about, those who support 45 seem to feel no fear or blowback whatsoever to express their support for him and thier hostility toward Biden, but many of us don't express ourselves because we fear their anger and rage... Outward anger and rage has way of quelling others' first amendment rights. Gotta wonder about that.
over the last few years, I've become more grateful I no longer have CA plates.. I've seen the hostile comments here about CA and Californians..

One of the largest French populations outside of Quebec and North Eastern Ontario is in Manitoba right in the heart of Winnipeg. French is such a lovely language. And yes I am English speaking but still can appreciate the beauty of language.
