Well he wasn't hit by a train.... Of course fireworks killed him.
It was an accident, accidents happen, and no matter how responsible the homeowner will end up being here for this..... it doesn't change the fact that it was still an accident.
I suspect inexperience with setting fireworks off, plus maybe a little too much alcohol flowing while doing so, contributed to his tragic death?
He ran toward the fireworks to turn them away from all the people and a mortar hit him in the chest. Not only did the fireworks kill him, but he saved others and is a hero for doing so.
If a car hits somebody , and injures a human, its the humans fault in court.
If a loose dog attacks somebody its the owners fault.
So NO, the firework didnt kill him , poor decisions and setup of the tube by a human, killed him.
Did it put a hole in his chest or was it the pressure from the blast that hit his chest so hard that his lung and heart stopped functioning?
Blunt force trauma so crushing his lungs probably
Something similar I seen happened. Carefull.
I just watched this year. I didn’t even light anything this past fourth.
Rip hero
Wow R.I.P.
Holy hell what kind of firework was it!!??
damn hella life to have a daughter getting married and you're 24.
Glad I’m not the only one that had this cross their mind‼️🤔
the party was at a coaches house. it was the coaches daughter who got married
Every year when we pop fireworks we always get one messed up firework. You never know what can happen so always be safe when handling them.
So sad 😞
We always screw the mortor tubes to like a 2x6 or something and put a cinder block on the middle of board. They don't move. RIP 🙏
What kind of firework was it? 1.3g or 1.4g?
My dad built a fire work thing out of steal had big spikes everyone always told him it was over like 20 years ago basically the same thing happened but the kid that was hit didn't die had their eyes brunt out and had to have them removed ...he took steal plate cut wholes in it to put fireworks in then had the legs to hold that down so they couldn't tip over & if they malfunctioned the case would contain it .... he always was big on safety
They don’t sound stressed at all tho 🤨
They probably didn’t have any idea the guy was gonna die
Its called alcohol and possibly drugs!🤷🧐
So sad 😢
Recently watched live tv when he was playing 🤐😱🥶
Entirely preventable and now someone has to live with the fact they killed somebody through their own carelessness.
About the only recourse is to sue the stupid out of them and it’s probably a family member or friend.
Just heart breaking for the family.
You can’t sue someone for lighting off a firework that ends up tipping over.
Jake D
I would not bet on that. Mortars are designed to be supported, it’s essentially a canon that shoots projectiles. It’s not a bottle rocket, but even bottle rockets are meant to be launched from a base and not pointed at people or lite and thrown.
Anyway their bad luck caused by carelessness.
@@globeflicker9216 what should they have done with the mortar? Any idea what kind it was?
Cam S
No idea what kind, but apparently deadly.
But it’s a mortar, and a mortar needs a stable base. Anyone who has fired one knows that. They are point and shoot, have kickback enough you want to secure it’s intended trajectory. I’m assuming a drunk was lighting fuses since it was a party and the fireworks were not handled by professionals.
Anyway it happened and it was senselessly tragic in result on what should have ended as a great day to all attending.
@@globeflicker9216 yeah I see what you mean. Very sad and hopefully a wake up call to those who mess with mortars.
Sad
How long did the ambulance take
Rip we love you we will miss you kivlenieks
Exactly why I put the mortar in a bucket of sand in an off limits area. Something similar happened to a drunk friend and the infection from the burn almost killed him. Designated driver, designated igniter. RIP
RIP
As a fellow latvian i just can't handle the cringe in me when they say Matīss Ķivlinieks. But thats just all in the accent. R.I.P.
Tragic definitely. Accident w illegal fireworks ? NO
Condolences to family & friends. Young lives deserve better.
I lost a major portion of hearing in both ears because of fireworks.
How close were you?
@@WhyDoIKeepFuckinUp within a couple feet, my brother lined up a bunch of different fireworks and set them off all together and my back was turged so I didn't know until the boom.
Onestly as a latvian R.I.P
Apparently it didn't even go off. That had to have had some serious thrust behind that firework
Couldn’t block that one…
Shells & container don't just tip over, we've had that happen if we put it in wrong/threw it in, didn't have it on proper surface, when it was super windy, other stupid stuff. Horrible tragedy for the family.
I agree it must of been mis used...I’ve been lighting shells off for a long time and the only time something bad happened was when I put the mortar in the wrong tube and it barely went up luckily I had everyone else pretty far away
Why didn't 911 stay on the phone?
