Love this bag. The shoulder strap attaches in the right place. I also think the smaller straps falling down is so unique and such a good idea! Love this bag and so much better than the empreinte montaigne mm as their shoulder straps lie in an awkward position

Beautiful bag in any material. I have the empreinte and have no problem with the strap or handles.. In fact, I find it very well balanced on me, when I carry it on my shoulder.
It is my favorite bag ever, and I look forward to buying a few more in different colors and sizes.

You said "gum tree" and in my head I started to sing "kookaburra sits on and old gum tree". They made us sing that song in school. So random. LOL! The bag is lovely, but your hair and top caught my attention. I'm digging the zip detail on the shoulders. Great look! Thanks for sharing this beauty with us. The only LV piece I have is a monogram Speedy 25. I couldn't dream of getting anything but monogram, so I'm always happy when you share a monogram piece. This bag is on my "someday" wish list in the GM size. Someday... :-)
I know this is an old vlog of the Louis Vuitton Montaigne but I love the way you showed it and love the way you spoke about it that made me watch this 6 to 8 times and I bought my bag from someone who was selling there’s . It’s so beautiful I love it so much , I li e in Florida were it rain a lot of the summer but when you explained how the arms go inside the bag and you can protect them from rain it made me want it even more

I was heart set on the Montaigne MM in Empriente but I totally did not realize the shoulder strap attaches at the handles. I have yet to see the bag in person. I'm so glad you explained the differences between the two, absolutely made me think twice and quite possibly change my mind. Quite honestly I don't need another leather bag, my Chanel is the go to black leather bag....Thanks for doing this video!

Oh I thought I was the only one who hates when the strap attaches on opposing sides near or on the handles. Ugh. I had a coach bag that had the crossbody strap attach that one and one day I noticed that they were deformed from being pulled. I was horrified and I switched bags that day!
But yes if the empreinte one was made just like the canvas, I would for sure consider it!

This is by far the most thorough review. The Montaigne in the Monogram vs. The Empreinte are 2 completely different bags even though they share the same name. I feel that the Empreinte version is much dressier and looks best carried handheld. The Monogram is much more versatile as it can be 'lady like' or casual. Loved the video!

I have this bag in the MM. perfect size, fits everything plus some. I agree with the straps pet peeve, it's mine too! Can't stand when a bag flops all over the place when the clips are not the strap ring. Only thing I don't care for ad much with this bag is the strap needs to be a tad longer, it's really short (I'm 5'6). Thanks for sharing, love ur videos,
Hi Jerusha...this was my first in store purchase last year. Like you, it was not on my radar because the pictures on the website aren't anything special but when I saw it in person I couldn't resist. Initially I was going in for the Turenne which had just been released at that time but when I compared them side by side, it was no contest. The monogram montaigne really does feel like double canvas...it has a much more substantial feel than other canvas pieces.
I have this exact bag and adore it! It makes it hard to want any other Louis' but I think I need to add to my collection a little less flashy bag so this one doesn't get worn out! :)

Oh my god I'm so tired of people bagging on the monogram canvas! I have been lusting over the Christian louboutin shopping bag for months and my girlfriend took one look and called the monogram tacky and cheap. Great review! Love the bag! I have it in empriente!! And I LOVE!!!! But monogram is just as lovely!!! Love he new set up!!!
Oh and I agree for the xtra I paid for the empriente the strap should be in a better place, but with that said it would of lost its cute character zip features that go down on the side, and I did worry about the long vachetta tabs on the monogram may curl up over time. Two things I did consider. But great review, and both lovely bags in my opinion😘

I still remember the very first Louis Vuitton ad that I ever saw, which started my whole obsession. It was in a Vogue and it was for one of the leather-bound pens that Vuitton used to do, and it was a model with the monogram painted over her face like a superhero's mask. I've been in love ever since.
Completely agree with your points re: Emprinet vs. Monogram Canvas, and really want to congratulate you for sticking to your guns on this one and just doing you. I think you made the right decision and it suits you so well. So classic, so chic, and not at all obnoxious!

This was an amazing review, I love your passion for the bag!! I actually ordered pre-loved and the original owner sped up the patina with oil which I’m actually excited about, I love a good patina. Unlike you though, I’m not a fan of monogram I’m a Damier Ebene lady myself. But something about this bag caught my eye, but I’m telling you right now if it had that striped interior I may not have got it, the burgundy is gorgeous!. It’s funny you kept mentioning the neverfull because the fact that it reminded me of a mini neverfull is one reason I wanted it. I’m hoping the MM isn’t too big for me I usually get the smallest sizes. I ordered before watching any videos but now you have me so excited.
So I’m going to go watch your other videos on it right now !
Empriente is my fave too I haven’t purchased one yet, I actually thought I wanted it in this bag I didn’t notice the difference I hateee when the straps are like that too.
Wear ,use ,and buy, whatever your heart desires,you have to look at it and enjoy it. I like the monogram version of this bag the best,exactly because of the shoulder strap attachment,I had the gm in empreinte, wore it for 5 minutes,returned it.the twisting was driving me nuts,it's a beautiful bag,that's why there are different colors and styles,xoxo rock your bag babe anyway you want enjoy it in the very best if health,xoxo MJ

The modeling shots at the end say it all. This bag is YOU! It looks great on you, suits you perfectly. I only have one monogram bag and now have three DE bags, but we all know what suits US. I'm scared of the vachetta, but LOVE how it looks! I like that you defend yourself here, but for the most part, just ignore the noise...I don't think you'll ever be one of those people who drones on about the negative comments, but it would ruin your channel if you did. Hi Jerusha, appreciate if you could you please reply to me and tell me if the brass of the strap handle has chipped or peeled off eversince you carry it because the one I saw at the LV store itself was chipped off and the SA couldn't explain and was shocked himself. It's bad to know LV doesn't provide good metal.

Great review on this bag and it looks perfect on you! And as you have said, stick to what you love and do you! I am deciding between this bag and the Chanel GST. I cannot afford to get both and was curious as to which you would recommend first. Love the structure of the Montaigne but a little worried about the GST losing its shape. Would love to hear your thoughts!
I have heard the Chanel GST gets quite heavy, and the straps have a tendency to fall off

I have the Montaigne GM in empriente leather! I am in love with it! Unfortunately they put the textile lining that matches the exterior of the bag in the interior of all Empriente bags! I love the style of the montaigne and the way it looks in monogram as well that I am contemplating purchasing one as well! Great review as always! Thank you! :)Susan
