That bubble gum machine brings me back to when I was a kid. The used to put those bumble bee marbles in the machine with gum. If you got the marble you were able to pick any candy bar out that you wanted and keep the marble. Lol. Those were the good old days....

Oh I am too. I could have spent hundreds there. They had a good bit of classic rock in there.....some real good 1970's albums. There were not to many junk records....the old country albums on the back wall were excellent. About any Willie Nelson record you would want.....was there. They had a good selection. Id say the person selling them was involved with a music store or something like that. CA House Music has a page on here. They have a shop in Wheeling. Probably someone that works there selling the records

Yea....It has that turbine like turbine like metal thing on the inside. The harder you blow the more momentum it gets and power, It is just like a wind up toy with a motor.....but no motor.
It is a feat of engineering. I am going to try and locate more of these.......The entire whistle is made from tin....so this could be reproduced. And I am going to try and start making them.

Lots of history in Wheeling WVA. Which was Virginia in the 1700's. Most of the excursions into the Ohio valley back then started in Wheeling. A good book to read is called " The bloody Ohio" it's gives some of the accounts of expansion west into indian country. Just think 250 years ago they were fighting right there. Indian attacks and all. Lots of dirty deeds were done on both sides of the equation. Take care!! off to the river to do some surface hunting.

Thanks for the trip to the antique store. We have some nice one's down in Portsmouth. You should come visit them on 2nd Street in the old part of town.

Yes.....the whistle is a feat of engineering. It is totally made of folded tin. Even the whsitle part is like a turbine......it is a crazy thing. I am going to try and find more of them for sale and buy them. I think I could start making them out of tin pretty easy. Maybe to a series of them

Cool Indian whistle, nice design. alot of eye catcher old tins, ' bout the only time I buy them is if they've got anything to do with Indians on them, some of them had a real nice design though. Another nice clean organized shop.thanx for the trip. P.S. CCR music goes real well on that ' Ol river ya got down there!

Cool wooden floor and brick walls. Very nice and clean vintage items. Loved the old LIFE magazines and the vinyl records. Is there a Meat Loaf in there?

I actually like Long John Silvers Fish better than Colemans. The thick like cod fillets they have....they are way better in my opinion. The last few times I have gotten that it has been the best tasting fish I have eaten in a long time.

@@rockscousteau I like Coleman’s fish but ever since I went to Destin Florida on vacation last year local fish and seafood just isn’t as good as it used to be. The fish and seafood down there is the best I’ve ever had in my life.

Sorry dude you can't buy anything solid wood and vintage at Walmart for 149. Get some knowledge before you speak.
