That's what I was thinking. Almost as if a carpenter was trying to show how well built his table was. Some of these dances like the barrel walking, with the men throwing their arms out as if to say "look at this!"...probably started off as a some drunk guy way back showing off, & people liking it so much that it just became part of the culture.
There are a lot of old German stories that involve magical tables. There is one in the Grimms tales where the table sets itself with all the dishes...who would own a table such as that would be blessed beyond ☺️

Es freut mich sehr dass in Thüringen es mehrere Städte gibt wo diese Volkstanzfeste gefeiert werden und genau wie hier, fühlen sich die teilnehmer der Gruppen sehr Stolz dafür.
What a fun performance! I recognize the music from traditional folk dances, and recognize many of the dance moves from other traditional folk dancing. While I am a traditionalist, and love to preserve the folk dances of our forefathers, I also love these original choreographies coming out of Germany that are a visible testament to the open arms different cultures have for each other's gifts. I mean, there are echos of Russian, Polish, Czech, Ukranian and Hungarian folk dance styles here, and also obvious German precision - look at the strength of that table! So many awesome things are coming out of what used to be behind the iron curtain. This expression of freedom and cultural crossroads is beautiful! It's a living breathing communication of the good things in our current world. In 100 years, this will be the old way of that region. How exciting to see it while it's happening!
When I was a kid and I watched walt disney fairytale movies. Alot of it had music, folk, a very cozy and charming place. Europe has the fairytale setting and joyful as well.

Creo que se confirma uno de mis tantos dejavus con este video,me pareció soñar en 1987 o 1988,entre mis 7 a 8 años,es realmente más que impresionante como es que dios nos da tanta capacidad para poder recordar algo que pasó ase mucho tiempo.hay tantas cosas que podríamos crear con nuestras mentes creo,pero lo difícil sería...encontrar nuestra verdadera mente sincronisada

@@peterlustig6888 ich fühle am ehesten zur nordischen Seite hingezogen. .. das fühlt sich für mich nach Heimat an .. die Musik, Sprache, die Landschaft und die "Religion" >obwohl ich absolut nicht gläubig bin.. und generell die Menschen .. ich finde diese deutschen Tänze schön aber die deutschen Volkslieder geben mir eher das Gefühl brechen zu müssen.. ich weiß das ist böse aber .. es ist wie es ist .. an sich bin ich gerne Deutscher, denn Deutschland und deren Menschen und Natur und alte Architektur ist wunderschön :) Wie dem auch sei .. @@Thuiringer Danke ja ich weiß nicht, ich kann damit nichts anfangen 😅es ist nicht so schlimm wie ich dachte weil es "Heino" ist aber dennoch ist es nichts was ich mir genüsslich mit Kopfhörern anhören würde. Ich spiele selber Gitarre und etwas Klavier, aber ich finde die deutschen Lieder sind immer mit Gitarre oder halt mit Blas/Marschmusik begleitet und das stört mich. Ich brauche etwas was mich weiter in die Vergangenheit zieht, bringt. Mir die Geschichte längst vergangener Zeiten erzählt.. Natürlich ist das Phantasie, aber warum das schlechte Choreographie sein soll...? Auf jeden Fall haben sie mehr Taktgefühl als die meisten "echten Volkstanzgruppen" die meistens sehr hölzern unterwegs sind.
