Writing so fast that the paper catches fire
@@cailsullivan4399 nono, you've got the wrong mindset. Cam doesn't farm for weapons that stand out by themselves, he farms for weapons that integrate into builds well.

At the end of this series of Tier List videos, I'm gonna need a Tier List tier list video, where you rank the tier lists by how good they are.

I think he said on stream he was actually considering that for an April fools video
This guy gets it.
don't forget the tier list tier list tier list video, a combination of all the tier list tier lists
Datto can literally rank every legendary weapon in the game & I would watch.
He could rank the green weapons and I’d watch
He could rank every sparrow and I would watch.
He could rank every transmat effects and I would watch!
He could rank every emblem and I would watch
He could rank every public event and I would watch. And I hate public events.

@Damon D I think you're confusing with objective with subjective. If anything you're seething cause of how bad you are at crucible
A Garden World is definitely one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in all of Destiny.
Agreed.
even the non-master/grandmaster versions of that strike were hard lol
Honestly i say it was pretty easy. Bubble, 2 novas and 1K or whisper. We killed the boss instantly. Im Honestly extremely surprised people struggles with this
I love the safe spot for the boss in devils lair. That little room feels so cozy and safe 😂
I ran out of LFR ammo and just waited, doing the campfire emote in the hideout and waiting for bros to get an ammo drop with Aeon finisher. Oh, good times. XD
Cozy and safe until a captain decides to charge headfirst into that room. Doesn't feel so cozy and safe when that happens
Me too lol. Reminds me of the good ol’ days when I would cower in there with my two team mates and plink plonk away at the boss.
Yess, I love these type of videos and discussion. A destiny nightfall one is one of those things I never knew I needed until I saw this from Datto
For the next video do an Oracle Tier List based on how much you like the noise they make!
I didn't know how much I needed this until now.
Legend.
Up
I think garden world took my fire team like 20 attempts to actually beat. It was a huge grind and we only ended up succeeding after learning every cheese strat in the strike.
This is the same feeling for me and my squad with proving grounds season 13. We spend 5 days to figure out a strategy to get past the tank/boss room. All yters said other things and so we were sick off it and tried it out ourselves.
Datto creating videos like this is what keeps my heart beating…
S13 Proving Grounds was probably the hardest I've ever sweat in pve in destiny, but I have to admit that learning the movements and positioning in the boss room was super satisfying on the first clear. My fireteam and I were so relieved to get our adept palindromes after a whole week of trying.
We legit need more strikes in the game over all D1 had for more and better ones over all. Strikes are fun to play with friends and I wish we had more.
as a D1 vet, i almost never did nightfalls. the hype was doing raids as well as trials. i only got into d2 again once nightfalls became popular and now gm nightfalls are imo the best thing about this game
@@lovekairos bro what I would do the nightfalls every week That was the best way to get exotics at least in year 1
Its always interesting to see different opinions on strikes, my fireteam never wiped on s13 proving grounds across several runs, but hollowed lair was a real pain to get through
I really wish we’d get more strikes without health gates. I miss that feeling of “should we melt the boss and risk more ad spawns” now it’s just like boss damage doesn’t matter and it’s so formulaic and boring imo
People forget that season 10/11 you had to put the champion mods on the gun, not the armor, meaning no damage mods
So I’m a Conqueror Hopeful currently, and I’ve seen both ends of the spectrum. My only two GM completions so far this season are Hallowed Lair and Lake of Shadows, and I’ve done every available NF strike on 1350 at least once at this point. Of the strikes in rotation this season, I think basically everything not in the EZ tier needs at least a one letter bump
Curious how much of a difference Arbalest will make to the list at least for this season
Glassway + Lightblade= this season being hardest season to get Conqueror seal
lightblade + 3 heists battlegrounds + scarletkeep, this seasons have a word for you
I'm curious what Datto thinks is the "sweet spot" in terms of this tier list. He's often talked about wanting high difficult content so it'd be interesting to hear
The Glassway season 14 was the pinnacle of end game content strike-wise.
@@VGhlIHN1biBpbiB0aGUgbW9ybmluZw I'd argue that Season 12 was tbh. No Bleak Watcher, no Anti-Barrier Sniper, no Breach n' Clear/Particle Deconstruction at the time and revives were limited to 30 minutes for some time.
@@Chloe02 Yeah i did it the second day it was out. It was so difficult it wasn't nearly as fun as it was in season 14, where it was genuinely fun.
When I saw there was and S+ tier I new Garden world was going in it. Garden world was definitely extremely hard. The boss room was very hectic.
I'm pretty pissed we never got the Xol strike as a GM. My favourite strike in the game by far and it was removed without ever being a GM despite all the other sunset ones getting one.
It would probably be up there with garden world on the floor is lava effect alone
We never got to see a proper hive god in action.
Glassway, at least for me, is definitely up there in difficulty. Literally the only strike I die on a regular basis on when doing it normally.
Actually true, that and maybe proving grounds if youre a little too reckless
I'm not even mad that I solo'd Garden World as an Invis Hunter and sat in a Minotaur's shield.
Garden World definitely, the modifier Root Algorithm (aerial + void damage burn) was a pain, especially with being in air on a lot of places in the strike. Additionally, the boopers were a massive pain with instakill if you approached them at a wrong angle.
i almost completely agree with the tiering bar a few gm's i'd post up or down a tier - i'd also agree with the seasonal tiers - for so many gm's and factors in place and the fact that it's a list (which in of itself is subjective) that's kind of impressive
I always wondered how The Wretched Eye or Shield Brother strikes from D1 would be if they got the GM Nightfall experience, assuming all of the glitch spots would be patched.
Dude, I’d probably go insane doing Wretched Eye if it was at GM level, that boss fight wouldn’t even be fair lol
I pretty much entirely agree with this list. Season 11 was the first Season that I got Conqueror and it was... brutal.
Bro, I'm envious of everyone who didn't have to do Garden World. I'm a different man after that GM.
The only way my team was able to beat Garden World was someone sitting just right in the big Minotaur’s immune shield to damage the boss with a primary weapon, not causing him to move. Took like 30 minutes😂
Make a tier list of all the raids in difficulty since destiny 1 released.
Ive gotten Conquer every season since they started in S10 and in S11 after getting the seal, I carried 2 clan mates through the 6 strikes and ended up having to learn how to get through A Garden World solo since my teammates couldn’t make it past the infinite forest at the beginning. At first it was just a “let me see how far i can get” while they’re dead until i eventually was able to get to the boss and beat it(No platinum rewards tho). The S10 and S11 strikes felt really hard looking back probably since GMs were new and we didn’t have crazy artifact mods or stasis. Tree of probability is the only one that I might move up from this list. It feels like a Glassway type of strike with how the boss fight is the hardest part so I’d say its between S tier and A tier. If it came back it’d probably be like Corrupted and Proving Grounds where the old version ends up being harder and listed in S while the new version gets put in A. Thanks for the content Datto can’t wait for the next list
3:24 - there has yet to be a time where the boss wasn’t just melted.
EXCEPT FOR ON MY RUN WITH TWO IDIOT BLUEBERRIES TWO DAYS AGO I WASNT EVEN AWARE THERE WERE STAGES TO THE FIGHT DONT TALK TO ME IM ANG
You should make a tier list of the best tier list videos you've made.
perfect list
exactly how i would rank them
yeah - it's great, i've seen a few comments popping up saying glassway, corrupted and proving grounds up a tier but i feel like most of them people didn't play gm's in season 11 (i always like to match up bungie names to some of these comments for context :D)
The proving grounds tank room is a joke if you do the second part from the back left instead of the front of the room. Just place a well, and use another super to spawn kill the ads coming out of the door, and kill the sniper, and you can just vibe; close enough to easily kill everything, but with enough cover that you don’t need to worry about dying.
This tier list was made with a well-coordinated, experienced team in mind. Try no mic LFG if you ever want a challenge, anything with a coordinated team is easy..
LFG is completely random when it comes to chemistry/quality. I tried Proving Grounds with 2 mic'd teams and failed multiple times, then cleared it first try with a no mic team.
@@GreenMachineOG I mean if you continue to LFG you’ll quickly realise that no mic LFG GMs in general are just way harder than mic’d up, coordinated/friendly GMs which is my point.
@@slothmanjay5029 I get your point, but it still depends on who you get. All the communication in the world won't help if people can't stay alive.
This week's nightfall was not that bad once everyone got into the cheese spot on top of the boss room. We had one guy in the nets underneath the floor to shoot under us and while it took a minute it was actually super easy.
The 1 I have the biggest issue with is Warden, that one was D tier honestly. My buddy and I took an LFG rando with no mic and were farming 13-15 minute runs. Short strike, low ads, and the boss falls over. All you gotta do is kill a bunch of champs.
I find it funny how many safe areas there are in the Devils Lair. I did the GM with a person once who had never played Destiny 1 and he was like “man there’s a lot of safe areas to stay back in this strike compared to a lot of the other ones.” That’s when me and the other guy were like “this is the first strike in Destiny 1” and we explained all the old spots to him. It was such a blast from the past.
I still get nightmares from the Boss room of glassway season 12………… it was pure torture
After I complete the Corrupted GM tomorrow, I will finally have my conquerer title!!!!
Garden World GM Completionists Rise up. We all felt that Boss room Pain.
Garden world probably shortened my lifespan by a decade
6:42 the vex arm strikes again!
This was very useful for figuring out which gms to watch a guide on. Ill probably end up watching a Sneakybeaver or Gsxrclyde vid if you dont make one. Or ill watch all 3 to help out the homies who knows
In terms of other tier list ideas, I think a season tier list would be fun. Ranking each season on its seasonal activity, story, loot and maybe ornaments/shaders
Scarlett Keep was by far the hardest for my team to complete. All others we didnt really have much issue with, just took 30ish minutes to get to the elevator which the elevator and boss being the hardest part
I do love lists!! Please post many more lists!!!
ahhhh season 11, good times.... good times... i miss playing destiny. i miss not having stasis in the game. i miss my kindled orchid :(
Holy shit bro you keep coming out with bangers
Man, seeing old twitch clips where you could actually play music on stream is WILD
before watching this i’m gonna have to say that the only two i haven’t beat are hollowed lair and proving grounfs
Do a video ranking every planet/destination on destiny all time tbh
I loved Savathun's Song GM. It was tge first one my friends and I ever beat and it's essentially nostalgia for me aylt this point
Seeing you listening to Intervals excites me
The Corrupted is only a shadow of what it used to be after all the nerfs it got
Corrupted by far is the hardest imo, without seasonal mods currently in play it is without a doubt the hardest GM. With the nerfs to the strike coming up it wont be nearly as bad.
Here during season 16 (Witch Queen/ Season of the Risen) to say that Lightblade is definitely an S tier solely for the boss room
Thank u for this video Datty Datto
lists are very efficient at telling us what is shit and what is not
ok so since i got back into destiny like 2-3 seasons ago. from what i’ve done so far hollowed lair is the hardest GM. i have also tried proving grounds but i haven’t died nearly as much in hollowed lair.
as far as glassway i was surprised to see it in that tier. i thought it would be D tier considering the first time i tried glassway beat it. can’t imagine doing it without anarchy now tho. fighting 4 overload minotaurs bum rushing you at once into a small room is absolutely nuts
Yeah we like lists!
I totally forgot about festering core! What a terrible strike
Season 14 glassway had energy accelerant also, that with stasis turrets made it way easier. Cleared boss with randoms deleting frozen wyverns with crown splitter.
I’m always making lists - Liam Neeson
Dad back at it again with the content
personally found s10 the easiest to get through but that said last season was a cake walk, haven't touched a single GM this season yet due to work being so demanding of my time, i'll wait for the GM node to become available with the new update and just bash them all out in a day to get my third gilding done then check out for the rest of the season, i never did S11, so never got a nightfall clear in the festering core before it got removed, i'm also REALLY pissed off when they changed the score tracker on emblems back in s10 when they added GM's to the game, it removed my old hallowed lair strike score which was one of the highest in the world due to doing it back in s5 with the old 5 of swords card 'bug' when that week for whatever reason the power scaling modifier worked in 'opposite land' so instead of reducing your power level it actually buffed your power level making it so you vastly over levelled the strike and it became a race as to how fast you could clear it, then when they made GM's a thing they removed all the old scores unless they were 'legacy' and replaced them with whatever your GM score was/is, i wish they added a load of old 'legacy' stats to the trackers so that you could see the difference between things, ultimately i don't think GM's are the challenge bungo expected them to be, and i genuinely laughed out loud when they made that vi-doc talking about GM's as if it was their 'e-sports' wing of the game and saying to the community they were 'the hardest content the game has ever seen not possible to solo clear and needing a maxed out fireteam' then watching esoterikk just solo every single one that season, it was sweet.
GM challenge is that they take too long and they are boring. I completed my first GM using only a scout 95% of the time and a rocket launcher for some elemental shields. I only had scout ammo finder lol. This is why i consider LoS not as easy as people say (it has many one-hit kills if you havent mastered it), heck my first GM is like 2 tiers higher than Los lol.
IMO LoS faster & more efficient farming even though its has these one-hit kills. Because at the end of the day all GMs have their cheese spots and if you are prepared (specific loadout, specific subclasses) you can have way easier times, which will become easier & easier as you master them (but they also become really boring plinkfests).
And at the end of the day i feel many GMs arent worth the hassle for farming weapons, which is why LoS is one of the most rewarding one.
I've only done GMs the last two seasons, with one run three seasons ago so I can't vote on those earlier seasons. Corrupted took us a long time to master, but I still give Glassway the nod for being the most treacherous one I've encountered.
Love your videos bro
For me scarlet keep is an s+ tier just because of the boss fight. You can’t hide and you can’t run everything one shots you and even with the cheese in beyond light it still caused pain. I did it once and will never do it again.
I started getting straight conquerors since season 13, I’d say season 14 is the hardest season solely because of glassway. Overload minotaurs are just so oppressive. xD
Most of this pretty much aligns with my tier list, maybe one or two to quibble over (I've been keeping track using a star rating system since worthy). Except one thing. I *cannot* abide tree of probabilities in anything other than Easy Tier. To this day, it is the only GM my crew have done in one go, and during Worthy of all times. We two phased the boss with swords and bubbles, I fucked up the first bubble completely and we still didn't have real trouble as a result. I was aghast when I heard your rating
kinda craving for more strikes rn, didn't play Destiny that much before so much got tossed into the DCV
I just got back into destiny…i missed u datto
Damn, didn’t know datto has such good taste in music!
I just realised will of thousands is the only strike with not a single grandmaster version.
This was spot on
S13 proving grounds we had geomags at full potential pre nerf so nice for the tank room
I am glad to see we agree on the most difficult being Garden World and S11 Corrupted. Those were brutal. Stasis and a lot of the tunings have made Corrupted far easier and people honestly won’t ever understand.
But on the other hand you could cheese both bosses
@@cchris93 assuming you’re not one of those kinds of players, those are the most difficult activities that have ever been in the game. My team spent a whole hour learning how the blocks moved in Garden World. They were always the same so we memorized it in a normal strike. As for corrupted, just had to be mindful of when she was bumping people up and setting an anarchy trap for psion jumping over. The ogres were the hardest part of that strike. Took forever.
Garden world is the only gm i did solo, because it was too hard with a team
We need a food list - for long haul gaming sessions
Make a tier list of tier lists you made
Looking back at the old GM era feels lm watching a different game holy how the metas have changed
I propose a second channel called WatchDatto, where Datto just posts a bunch of lists and top 10s.
Damn bro, you're uploading so much that I almost forget you'll be gone during a content drop again
A lot of my clan mates told me they don’t like exodus crash. I joined a random LFG no mic and we beat it first try. It’s definitely easier than I was told it would be.
Clan still has not done Glassway. It's the old, too much damage! Then one has Wyverns and champions.
Hardest by far.
2nd is Corrupted as clan fears trying to melt Sedia before ascendant realm.
A Garden World became easier as we understood champ spawns and prioritized them.
Don't think s10 is giving enough credit. Insight terminus for example was nerfed after this season as was warden of nothing. You also had side arms as the barrier champion mod meaning you either ran eriana's or got up close and personal with the champions.
I think my team wiped in Glassway boss room 10+ times after doing the rest of the strike flawlessly, so that one goes to S+ in my opinion. We finally managed to beat it after learning all the spawns each wave. I would put Broodhold at least one, if not two, down. The boss room has so much cover and so much space to kite the ads if you need it. It's really not that big of a deal. Everything else is pretty much spot on imo.
did you complete a garden world? (if so bungie name) there is a reason that's in a different category for those who completed it - so in that respect s tier is fine - i do feel like glassway could have been split in to 2 categories potentially - s14 being tier A and s12 being tier s
@@evilmingdoctor yeah I did. My team ran two invis hunters and a titan with banner shield so the boss room wasn't actually that bad. We kind of just tried to keep everyone invis at all times and banner was there for boss damage or just resses. There was a strat to keep the boss in one place which made things a lot easier but it's been so long I honestly forgot how that's done. We also did the s12 Glassway so when it was in rotation again in s14 we were like nooooo thank you not again, even if it was easier :'D
(Posted day before update)
Patchnotes, yeah Lake of shadows boss is too squishy- health significantly increased
Season 15 is my first season getting conquer and I gilded it. Personal I would put corrupted below both proving grounds and hallowed lair the boss dies in 5 shots hollowed lair and proving grounds both have very stressful boss fights.
ARRIVALS continues its utter domination. #bestseason
This season is my first completing a GM ever, and now I'm 1 week away from gilding the Conqueror title I just got lol. So I don't have any reference for the difficulty of past seasons, and it's interesting to see how things are ranked by Datto/the community. This season felt difficult to me, a first timer I guess, but a lot of the strikes seem to have safe/cheese spots in them. Proving Grounds was the most difficult to me for sure.
I have 2 conquerer titles. S11 and s15 and i can tell you the difference is like day and night. S11 i played with a clan team and we needed dozens of tries for some strikes. This season i used lfg with only text chat and i did all in 2-3 tries.
@@cchris93 this is basically what I've been seeing from more experienced players. I have at least one clear on every GM this season with no comms. PD and cheese spots made things easier I'm sure
Starting my day of right with a daddo vid
I had to peck at the boss during insight terminus with my hung jury because both teammates went down
Glassway hardest strike no discussion needed
YESSS A DATTOO TIER LIST EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Exoduc Crash this week has been hard for me. I'm only high enough to do legend (I'm 1324) and I can get to the boss but I can't beat him. The arc damage makes it impossible to survive even when I try to use a cheese hiding spots and healing rift, and when I did a duo my teammate got wiped in a well.
Anti barrier outbreak, ah what a beauty
So Datto, what would you think of doing GM Nightfall Races tournament? Obviously some rules like, no out of bounds, exploits etc and some mods like particle accelerator could be banned to introduce some weapon variety. I've been thinking of it for a while but I dont have the audience to make it happen.
If its in the game it should be fair grounds. Otherwise why not limit them to only primaries or other stuff like that (no well, no bubble, no tether, no ursa, no omnioculus etc).
Better yet they should take the bad subclasses and run the content.
S11 garden wold gives me more PTSD than glassway
