    We use the figure 8 follow through as the dead end knot on a horse high picket line. My Bride and I do horse expos and teach people how to put up a picket line using 3 knots... The figure 8 follow through (because it's SO MUCH EASIER TO TEACH than the bowline!!!) an alpine butterfly as a change of direction to tighten the picket line, and finally a prusik. The prusik holds the line tight and 2 more of them attach a horse and a hay bag to the picket line...

      Keep checking back Bill. We have 13 knots already recorded and the alpine butterfly AND prusik are in there so hopefully if you're having trouble with a few in your class you can pull up the video and it'll help them out. Appreciate your feedback and glad you liked the video.
