The protests wasn't even near the Statue (it was just in parliament square - were even the daily mail say protests belong) and the council put the black bags there for collection by a bin lorry. There are few public bins in that area (due to terrorism) so where else can they actually put them which is not in the middle of the street to get tripped over?

If you place it by a lamppost it is in the middle of the street. The police (not protestors) put the black bags (which the police provide) there for two reasons. Firstly it's next to the only drop curb for the councils rubbish collection van and secondly the statute of Churchill is closely watched by security cameras so they can monitor to see if anything dangerous is added to the rubbish pile. I’m an American and that upsets me too. Churchill was such an important man in WW2. He was like the beating heart of the Allies and represented all of their collective strength. He wasn’t scared of anything, and was able to project that onto all of the Allied forces, even beyond the UK.

The protests wasn't even near the Statue (it was just in parliament square - were even the daily mail say protests belong) and the council put the black bags there for collection by a bin lorry. There are few public bins in that area (due to terrorism) so where else can they actually put them which is not in the middle of the street to get tripped over?

If you place it by a lamppost it is in the middle of the street. The police (not protestors) put the black bags (which the police provide) there for two reasons. Firstly it's next to the only drop curb for the councils rubbish collection van and secondly the statute of Churchill is closely watched by security cameras so they can monitor to see if anything dangerous is added to the rubbish pile. That's why the police came over and asked why he was emptying their bags of rubbish all over the street. This video is just some guy looking around at something to be offended by. What a snowflake. Literally every time the parliament square is fenced off that area is used for Rubbish.
