It’s because “foreign aid” is essentially a tax payer funded slush fund, sent to certain countries, washed, then “invested” back into the bank accounts of politicians and special interests. Same thing with war lobby. Also, China doesn’t have to “reach emissions” set in the “Paris Climate Accord” until 2030 but don’t hold your breath for China to keep it’s word, on anything.

The idea is to split the US 's concentration between Taiwan and Ukraine.
If the US is forced to choose between them, they will choose Taiwan.

Every time there is new support for Taiwan the CCP takes acts of aggression against Taiwan. The CCP needs to leave Taiwan in peace, Russia needs to leave the Ukraine in peace. China can sweep Taiwan over a weekend, and still give the US a good fight. Remember, China is not going to war, war will come to them.
