  • Ukraine urgently needs new soldiers and is increasing pressure on men to sign up.
The government recently passed a new mobilization law, which means that from this weekend, Ukrainian men will have two months to register for potential conscription.
If they don’t sign up, they will be punished. .
Ukrainian authorities are hoping to mobilize up to half a million more soldiers. Russian forces heavily outnumber Ukraine's already.

I recalled once a documentary about the "soldier of Putin "whose children went to a camp to learn military instructions as a summer camp. The camp was meant to teach them to become shock troopers, and it is disturbing to know the fact, that the shock troopers are an assault team whose mission is to charge to the defensive lines of the enemy. Even in the most successful operations, the casualty rates are simply so high. In any way , both Ukraine and Russian were bound to be on a constant war . Peace was really never an option.

Half a million man represents between 1 and 2 % of prewar population at the minimum. To put it in perspective, that's more than Britain lost during the entire WW2.
You can't just talk "needs" half a million men. There comes a time when you call it quits. And for us to facilitate some arangement instead of cheering a new batch of men to trenches.
