I just said 'cats who fight, friendship, love, adventure, etc.' He said 'Oh, what's happening now?' I was at Tigerstar's (I) death at that point and I asked 'Do you really want to know?' He nods saying 'It's just cats.' I told him to read the scene.
i agree. everyone thinks warrior cats is just some cats in a clan, no big deal. But when you read it... oh the detail! You see in the cats eyes, feel their horror and whats happening around them. The detail and everything makes the books great! Either way if it was just some cats than why would it be so popular?

If you don’t know the context of it, I’ll try to give it in a nutshell with the most important parts The main characters in this map are- Yellowfang - the small kind of short grey one Raggedpelt / star - the skinny tall tabby And finally, brokentail / star - the one that looks like a mix of both of them Yellowfang was a warrior before she became a medicine cat, and would have become mates with raggedpelt, but of course destinies went different ways. While being a medicine apprentice I believe, she gave birth to raggedpelts kits which she wasn’t allowed to have, only one survived out of the 3, and that was brokentail. Brokentail grew up as a- very aggressive cat I would say, he knew raggedpelt / star was his dad, but never knew yellowfang was his mother, due to the rules and an agreement made with raggedpelt and yellowfang. Because raggedpelt / star was leader, he soon made brokentail deputy, which brokentail worked toward by KILLING cats or causing the deaths of the previous deputies. Soon he murdered his own father to become leader where he could take control of the whole clan, eventually starting to train kits at VERY young ages, and eventually exiling yellowfang for a crime she did not commit. Yellowfang soon became thunder clans medicine cat, quite a few things went down… bla bla bla, and finally, yellowfang kills her now blinded son with death berries, and he deserved after all the pain he caused. BUT THEN he becomes a dark forest ghost so… eh
Basically Yellowfang was given a prophecy that if she was to have kits, all of them would die at birth except for one, and he would end up evil. She didn't heed the warnings, and had him anyways, only to later have to kill him in her old age, because even after he was blinded and held as a prisioner for his crimes, he still found a way to hurt others.
It can be so confusing to someone who hasn't read the books, so I understand that you were unprepared 😂 this all takes place over the span of the first series as well as Yellowfang's Secret!

The two ended up having kits but only 1 surived, broken it..,Since yellow fang had to return back to her job as a medicean cat she ended up giving her only kit up to a queen, lizard strip, who along with her kits, didint pay much attion towrds broken kit, and gave more attion towrds her own kits, who would also tease there foster brother. He was soon apprenticed as broken paw to night pelt, but would often disobay him, seeking his traning only from ragged star (his father). He then became a warrior earning his warrior name broken tail, and after the deputy of shadow clan died, he was picked to be the next one. in greed for power her killed off his father ragged pelt, taking leadership only for himself and he became broken star. He would train kits too early, and many didnt surive. he then put the blame for two kits deaths on yellow fang, causing her to be exiled, even tho broken star was the one who killed them. Yellow fang ended up meeting a younge thunder clan apprtince fire paw and was taken to thunder clan to be held prisinor. After the sudden death of spotted leaf, the thunder clan medican cat, who had been killed by claw face, a shadow clan warrior after broken star order him to steal some thunder clan kits. Yellow fang sets off in search of them, and thunder for a breif time thinks that spotted leafs death was caused by her, but they were proven wrong and were able to retive the kits and shaowclan exiled there leader including his followers. They soon allowed yellow fang to stay and made her the newest medicean cat of thunder clan. One day broken star and his followers raid into the thunder clan camp and start attacking. Fire heart his busy helping in the fight when he sees broken star crawl into the medicean den and runs after him, thinking he would try to kill yellow fang. But was surpised when he saw that broken star was laying on the ground, blood coverd his eyes as he began to say that he couldnt see, and relized that yellow fang had blinded him, she also told fire heart the turth, and said that broken star was her son. Not long after yellow fang made the hard decison to feed broken star death berries, killing her only son. (sorry if some of this isnt right, ive only read into the wild and fire and ice so far lol)

you should watch Man on the moon Jayfeather map! it’s not violent, no deaths, no blood, no unsettling moments, everything’s just Jayfeather dreaming about the clans being happy and stuff i’m pretty sure? but all i know is there’s no violence :)

I recommend the "What's a Soulmate" warrior cats map, it does give you a small spook, but it's not outright gorey. ^^
