Can you make a video comparing ribtrax and diamondtrax ? What’s better for what kind of use? Home garage with a little bit of working on cars what would work better? I think diamond is easier to clean and rib would be a problem if I drop smaller screws and stuff ! So can you tell me the differences or make a video on what’s better for what kind of application ?
Wonder how well that plastic will hold up with jack stands holding my crew cab tundra up...I cant say this is a good choice for a garage if you do anything besides walk and park on it.

It is. You need to put a piece of wood or a spare tile under the jack stand or you'll have permanent indentations in you floor. The good news is, if you screw up a damaged tile can simply be replaced.

I just finished installing my Swisstrax (6 years after your comment)- if you would worry about your jack or jackstand sinking into asphalt then you should worry about damage to the Swisstrax. But the solution is the same- put plywood under small jack wheels and jackstands. I have a large floor jack and didn't need to put anything under the wheels as they are big wheels.

The ribtrax tiles are perforated to ensure bacteria and mold growth do not occur in humid or standard climates. We agree epoxy is a gorgeous alternative, however the epoxy will fail and some point and you will have to reapply in the future. Swisstrax tiles are guaranteed for 15 years and will endure long past that timeline. You can take them with you if you move, change up your design, recycle them if need be, and enjoy having something low maintenance that makes your garage stand out. Would this be suitable for a RV garage 24X48'. Rv is 40 ft long 27-30K lbs. If only the center 12' of the garage is covered will the tiles stay in play without moving as the RV is backed into the garage. Thanks, looks nice.

Hi Michael, Thank you for getting in contact with Swisstrax. We don't recommend using this on a pontoon boat since there are so many different variables. Boats are such a dynamic piece of equipment and the floor wouldn't be stabilized enough to stay in place. It would be a super neat solution from my opinion, but we don't recommend using. @@michaelayers247 with the movement of a boat, we don't think it would be the best option for our flooring. It is a floating floor and being on a boat, it might have too many inconsistencies that come with a boat and its travel.

If you have a work section however, you can always mix a different tile style into your flooring solution! We have Ribtrax in our offices and we roll our chairs across the tiles.

If your garage clean schedule is quarterly semi annual to annual swiss trax flooring ok, if your residential and you just like to keep your place clean most the time then the Swiss trax flooring is not for you. It may be good as a protective car mat, but not as flooring.
I hear it's perfect for winter parking- a lot of salt and dirt end up on my floor daily during the winter. I would have to sweep daily to keep my garage at all looking clean.

Using a jack on these tiles will damage the tiles. The damage will be minimal but it’ll get worse and worse with time. Though less convenient, you could avoid damaging the tiles by using something like plywood under your jack.
Good news, you don't have to remove the Ribtrax tiles to clean underneath them. Hose the assembled floor out with a high pressure nozzle, starting at the back of your space and work your way to the front. Solid tiles as well, sweep or blow them out with a yard blower and you are good to go. We agree, no one wants to take up a floor! Thanks for your input.

Any chance these work for mud/erosion control on a dirt floor?
Typically we do not recommend these tiles for mud or erosion control. For the best performance we recommend laying these tiles on a concrete surface.

I find the pro is rough on the knees with kneeling. You may also want to look into the smooth if you're doing a lot of kneeling.

Total waste of money if oils and other contaminants can go through it. But you can say my concrete is ruined but looks good.

How easy it it to roll over the rib track flooring with say a detailing stool etc . Would the casters get stuck?
