Man i would love to see a movie based on this game.
MTG duel video game series are clearly made as an initiation for new players, a way to find players online or, at best, to discover play modes. Do not expect to find within them the full depth of the tcg.
I've won every battle until Rise of the Eldrazi where I got my ass handed to me.

Im not sure what the Cat riding knight or the flying white angel looking things with long pointy things are.

Camux, if I'm not mistaken is called Parallax Motion or 2.5D Animation.
It's actually simple to do (if you know your tools).
You can do it with AfterEffects, I think with Blender also and I'm not sure about GIMP. But if you search for "2.5D motion parallax" on CZcams you can find some tutorials. ;)

Since when does Gideon battle Nicol as far as current lore goes, Gideon fought the Eldrazi (tried might I add) then after relizeing he would need help to extinguish the Eldrazi he went to Ravnica to gather forces. He never encountered Nicol or even heard of him!
Core set lore and story lines usually don't mater to the real story and lore

@kickit246 its a whole new set of cards m12 also there are 10 new decks and new plaineswalkers to fight and more im not sure about. it comes out tomarro so we willl wait and see

Pretty sweet. Wasn't gonna pick this up because its the exact same as the other one, but with different cards... but if its got the same price then i may get it anyway. Got 100% on the last game and i'm still playing it off and on, may get this to get me back into it again lol. We'll see how it goes.
Hey, whats the difference between this game and the other duels of the planeswalker? I know of the big boss fight thing where its like x vs 1 hard guy, but are there all new cards? Or is it mostly the same cards as last game? I don't know a whole lot about this new mtg. Anyway, thanks to anybody who replies, its appreciated.

Some of the lore was changed and maybe Gideon/Kytheon meant the world as he knew it was destroyed.
+Cameron Bragg this story is now unofficial. Official lore of Gideon is Kytheon Story in Magic Origins.
you could see it as Kytheons world being Theros and Gideons homeworld as Bant, which was destroyed during the conflux.
Cameron Bragg well he did change his identity. he might mean "i, gideon, not kitwhatever"
they have to make a movie so i can understand the stories the game and who is who and what is what. i am very new and would love to see a lot of films based on this game.
it would be hard to make a movie since they hop to a different plane every 2 set.
but let's say they do the story on the gatewatch vs the eldrazi, it's new and it's the longest standing plot we had since the urza saga and the weatherlight saga and it would have the neo planeswalker.
the story would require so much backstory because each planeswalker have story that intertwine in different block assuming we're only staying on zendikar.
for example, if we're talking about jace only, he has story back in original ravnica involving tezzeret and the infinite consortium. then the zendikar plot where he and chandra accidentally released them, then he just say fuck all and went back to ravnica and unwittingly became king of ravnica, and we'll have to include the story on how and why garruk was cursed by liliana, which is the reason why jace went back to zendikar to help gideon beat the eldrazi titans so that he could get a hedron from ob nixilis to cure garruk.

@Jaspermaleswolfxxx There's just one slight problem with that. Liquimetal Coating is only until end of turn. By the time it wheres off, I can Go For the Throat it. Now......if it was Silverskin Armor, it is an artifact in addition to it's other types..... so that would be the better choice. Plus I could just Day of Judgement everything.

Any idea how to create effects and animations like this from paintings? Would be awesome to do things like this. I can paint and know how to work with sound and music editing. But the animation and effect part is beyond me for the time being. If you know how to do, please let me know and I will start practicing right away. I have searched for tutorials and stuff without luck.

Tibalt is in Avacyn Restored. He is much easier to get off of ebay and is probably one of the cheapest plainswalkers. $2-3 maybe.

The game is awesome, but when you change the difficulty it doesnt get harder or easier. The Ai just gets the "better" or worse cards and rickroll your face or lets you win. The cards are not random! :p.. awesome trailer tho :D
Help me here. Gideon very clearly says that he comes from a world that was destroyed. Then explain the Kytheon, Hero of Akros. Was the plane of Theros destroyed?
Maybe something happened because of Fate Reforged that we weren't told about

@MelficeVKM No you only unlock like 16 cards per deck so you still don't have all the cards in the game or even half..Can't have fun making sliver decks artifact decks nothing you get stiffed with what they give you.

@inquiry10 I think that they should make a Magic MMORPG as long as its up to the standard of the best ones such as WoW, Rift, LOTRO, Forsaken Worlds would be the competition, its always being my opinion that it take a existing franchise to kill WoW and magic the gathering just might be that franchise.
