Hi Mao, I like your channel, and you are very nice person. You always help poor and elderly people that is what I like to watch your channel. God will be you and bless you all the work you treat to the people in this lives.
Whole grilled chicken for $11.25?! Wow...I can buy a whole rotisserie chicken for $8 where I am. I'm constantly getting sticker shock with your videos when it comes to food. My cousin in Phnom Penh was telling my mom how the price of beef has increased significantly. I think the higher cost of living may be due to the rebound with tourism and also expats moving to Cambodia. I won't say the name of the country, but it's one from SE Asia. Before the pandemic, there were around 2,000 individuals registered and now around 100,000. That's a massive jump and that's just the number of nationals from one country. I feel bad for the local. There's no way a garment factory worker making around $200 a month can afford this. My family and I often donate money towards food drives. My family and family friends often go back to visit Cambodia, almost every year and we donate money towards rice, fish/soy sauce and dry meats to be distributed to people in rural area, still it's never enough to go around.
@@Mao-od8gp My parents are devout Buddhists, goes to the temple every week since I was a child and always made giving a priority. Khmer temples here regularly raise funds for Cambodia since the early 90s and Khmer who regularly go to the temple were donating money even when we had very little for ourselves. I want Khmer people in Cambodia to know that some Khmer overseas didn’t forget about them.
Wow!!! I am always impressed with the great variety of foods available 😊
