Only to those that react to a specific band, Metallica. A band who made their name by playing music from bands like Anti Nowhere League and the Misfits and didn't pay a cent for it is not so fucking entitled that they strike against streamers for reacting to their shit.
The easy way around this is to just ignore Metallica, the few original songs they have are not really worthwhile anyway.

Many artists, especially independents, really like it when reactors do videos on their music because it introduces their music to new people who may not have heard of it. I personally have found about a dozen artists I never listened to before and I bought their music because I liked what I heard on the reaction channel.

@@RandomPerson-ui3xv CZcams isn't invulnerable and can end up fading into obscurity just like MySpace did. CZcams is now doing what MySpace did several yrs ago. When the ppl got fed up with the BS they started leaving the platform in droves. If enough ppl leave CZcams and stop posting content they'll eventually end up like MySpace. All but forgotten and barely talked about.
Out of the three channels of these that I enjoy watching most, I enjoy Brad and Lex all right up there!!! I love that you start right away with the artists and then your commentary; Lex, I love you, are adorable, smiles, and fun, and Brad you read every single word of the artists story! You guys have brought so much joy to me and many others. Youâve also got me into songs I hadnât heard before which I then went and checked out. You didnât deserve all the hassle you got.
I have never understood from a business perspective how a group or artist would not look at this as free advertisement for their music. If the younger generation is not aware of your product (earlier music 1960;s -1980's for example) how would they become customers without the exposure. One or two songs reactions could in turn create sales for complete albums. The people that know and grew up with that music are dying off, why not expose it to the younger generations and make money. I grew up with it. I am 67 years old now.

A lot of them have passed but need to carry on their legacy of great music. If not reaction channels, then how (commercials)???

Yes, thatâs the bit I donât get. These reaction channels are introducing existing music to a ton of new listeners who otherwise would never have explored them.
It's generally not the bands, but the music companies that have the issue. There's a reaction channel, a roadie, dude with a big beard, and he actually surveyed a bunch of bands and companies and quite a lot of the bands actually like the reactions (I assume Jinjer, Nightwish and Rammstein like them, surely they've seen an increase in sales due to the volume of reactions), but their music is owned by the company that decides to strike.

This channel has been so much fun for such a long time. It's insane there are acts and labels out there who actually want to hurt the people who bring positive attention to their work.
I really dislike people who all they think about is money. Maybe they (bands) shouldn't have shoved it all up their noses and threw it all away with all the successful hits they had, they wouldn't have to be such jerks when they get too old to perform. Hopefully Rumble can grow but companies with music industry ties will push hard there too. React videos bring more attention to older music that isnt even being pushed nowadays by the industry attacking react channels.
You'd think artists and the producers/distribution channels would encourage reactors, as it might help new fans find their music. It's absolutely stupid to think that someone is just going to watch reaction channels and not the original.
Actually, if you read the responses on reaction videos itâs usually people already familiar with the song/band and just want to experience someone else listening to it for the first time. Not sure it really grows the artists following. Could be wrong but just based off comments on reaction videos, it seems to be the case.
These days itâs all Spotify. Artists donât make the big bucks they used to selling records. Thatâs why concerts are $500. So these acts see people making money off their songs (which they worked hard to write) and they want a slice of the pie. That and more corporations are buying up song rights want a return on that investment.

It's almost always the distributor and not the artists or labels. The distributor/licensee literally makes their money from controlling who and what receives the product they are distributing and how and that is why they are aggressive about it. Its like if Sam's Club gave out 500 Bagel Bite samples a day but only sold 5 boxes. Whoever distributes the Bagel Bites is gonna want to know why they are giving away 500 Bagel Bites at Sam's Club instead of pushing to sell 500 boxes of Bagel Bites.
Whether or not the 500 Bagel Bite samples per day translates into 5000 boxes sold per year is irrelevant. Capitalists love seeing big numbers in short timeframes and nothing else because that means more money now instead of more money later.
Bigger numbers quicker look sexier to investors and people in boardrooms, basically. CFO is all about making the end of year total revenue look bigger than the previous year and literally nothing else.
Some bands/companies are notorious blockers even for famous well established CZcamsrs. There should be a list of dangerous videos to review. You would think that older bands would love to get a shout-out to get new younger fans. I'm an old musician and I remember that mentality from the 80's...being afraid to share music in case someone stole your songs. The times have changed but the mentality of some performers is stuck in the past. Go figure!
To be fair to CZcams, this is how the DMCA works and is what they have to do to protect themselves from being sued for users content. The DMCA lays out the process of the host taking down content upon request, the user filing a counter claim, and then the host putting it back online. This is CZcams following the law. However, the 3 strikes thing and timing of it all is entirely CZcamss choice. The law just says CZcams must remove content on request. It isn't CZcams's responsibility to vet that the copyright owner is who they say they are.
You guys are absolutely awesome. There is something just special that separates you from so many out there doing reactions. There is truly a warmth and authenticity the flows from you as a couple. Rick Beato has some great information on his channel about copyright claims, but it sounds like you guys have done your due diligence and are also being smart in having a backup plan going forward.
