Currently run Fisher Stainless 8' 6" Xreme V Plow w/wings. My backup plow is a Fisher 7' 6" SD Plow. Used to run the SD on my old half ton. Looks tiny on my 2500, but it works great.
I've always kind of liked the Western Prodigy and SnowEx Speedwing Plows. Hopefully Fisher comes out with their XRS for pickup's soon.
It doesn't get any easier to put on and/or take off than a Fisher MM2 Plow system.

Looks like you have some pretty good rust starting on the back of your moldboard on the drivers side. I always take the truck to the carwash after each storm and use the hand wand to thoroughly get everything totally washed down and waxed.

Using a SnowEx straight blade currently. I've used a v-plow and wide-out plows as well. Straight blade works best for the amount of snow we get here in the Midwest. As you mentioned the wide out plow works great for wind rows. I think v-plow is best for breaking trail on long driveways.

In Northern VT, About 90% of the commercial company's run the Fisher 9'6'' XV2 Fishers.. In our opinion they are the best hands down. My company runs the extensions on the XV2's making it over 11' (straight across). We can move some serious snow, a good distance pretty quickly + neatly. Looks like that is a great setup for your location, good job!

I just sold my 8’2” VXT with wings. I am going to switch to a wide out, I really like the VXT except for the spring return to a V position. I do my local YMCA which is a huge lot And unless there wasn’t much snow or it was extremely light snow every time I would get a good load in front of it one of my wings with dump and spill my entire pass Resulting into more passes to clean it up very frustrating. Because of this I’m wanting to switch to a wideout or ever a MVP 3

ok so here's where I'm at, I have a western midweight pol 7'6" the A frame just ripped apart due to rot..not bad 14 years old , it was on a 1500 gmc gas truck..that truck died so now I have a 2500hd Duramax standard cab 4x4 I carry a salt dog 3/4 yard spreader because I use a blended ice melt product..my work..well I have about 6 driveways that are family or elderly charity , but the main reason for the plow is the parking lot at my family business, front lot is 5400sq foot ,rear lot is 12000 sq foot with an road from the front to back lot..my biggest issue is I only have 1 spot to stack snow in the front lot and 2 places' to stack in the rear ..and of course there are parking islands and storage sheds I have to work around … the traveling with snow to the stack spots has just been killing me , on a 4" snow fall it takes me almost 3 hrs to get the shop open for business ...I don't do snow removal as a business, , and i cant get an outside contractor to take the time todo the shop right, so i do it myself ..
with having a 2500hd durmax now i am really conceding the 8/10 wide out ..but damn 1000 lbs !!! any thoughts ??

I can also drop and disconnect the plow in about 25 seconds starting from the drivers seat.. and I have wiggle room for uneven ground as the headgear stand in in the center it allows a couple inches side to side to rock when hooking up. Basically my one handle connects and disconnects both sides where you have to disconnect both sides individually. However pulling the jack up is one other step that you don't have to do as the jack is built into the connection mechanism. So same number of steps and time I think the only way I win is the time you walk to the other side to get passenger pin off.
