Can't say I've ever eaten whole fish head, but it does look good. We eat the cheeks from pickerel here.
A lot of people waste so much of the fish and only eat the skinned fillets 🤷🏽♂️ The heads the wings and belly flap are way tastier than the fillets👌🏾

Kia ora, there’s a content creator Taku “Outdoor Chef Life” sushi chef from US. He literally just hopped off the plane. He was in the Bay of Islands the next day and hooks a monster snapper with his last bait. It was too much fish for him and his wife Jocelyn, so he released it back into the water. Honestly bro it’s on CZcams. He has never eaten Kahawai

Yeah that’s how I eat my fish heads..The wings and backbones either I’ll raw fish in coconut cream or plain seasoned water with onions, tomatoes pepper and salt or dip in seasoned flour, salt and pepper, fried in butter…The raw fish wings I’ll put on a good movie or watch CZcams foodies and eat them as a dessert😂

Tumeke Mike, for salting baits I use Pool Salt very coarse and only $10 for 20kg in Aussie from Bunnings.
With the price of bait skyrocketing like everything else it's good to salt what you catch and use as bait👌🏾

My dad would check my fish head after i finished with it and most times id get an earfull about wasting meat i never knew was there like he would magically summon meat out of thin air in a part of the fish that i thought if searched lol
