@JewelWill1 yes and drought comes and goes from all regions on the planet. Human activity isn't the cause of natural cycles on this planet.
@@JewelWill1 Just glad you weren't around in the 1930;'s. The droughts lasted years and the temperatures were in the low 40's. It caused the elongation of the Great Depression.

How much tax will it take to stop the wildfires? They keep bringing up the fires, so when can we expect them to stop?
I believe the way the math works is that you increase the tax every time there's a new fire and then when the fire is out you increase the tax again just to make sure the fire can't start again. I've been told 97% of scientist agree with the approach

Lantsman offered platitudes, "We're going to do solar, wind, nuclear, tidal...blah...blah...blah.." Meanwhile her provincial counterparts are doing EVERYTHING THEY CAN to stop green energy solutions! Danielle Smith has banned solar and wind in over 60% of Alberta, and Ford paid HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS in cancelation fees for shutting down wind, and solar farms!

The carbon tax has been in effect for a number of years. But, forest fires occurred last summer, the summer before, and will occur this summer. Is the tax helping ? Is the ongoing tax preventing fires ?
No, neither the country nor the planet "are burning"... there are some forest fires in Canada - true and a number of them, maybe 60% are caused by humans (off-road vehicles, camp fires, cigarettes..) Sadly, the carbon tax will not prevent forest fires.
You know why cpc mp never make the point you just made ? Because it is intellectual bankrupt . Hotter planet = worst forest fires . That the issue at play here .

By calling for a summer pause on the carbon tax you're accepting the carbon tax. The answer is no carbon tax not a different kind of carbon tax.

Forest fires are a natural process of managing forests. They also help manage pests, like ticks, that would be otherwise impossible to manage any other way.

What is also interesting, is that the Americans in California would always talk about how there weren't bad forest fires up in Canada and praised Canadians for their forestry management. Then all of a sudden we Canada saw an increase in arsen starting forest fires.
