    I'm not new to card making but I'm new to card making with real craft stores supplies because for the first time in my life I can actually afford all these awesome products and tools. Im so excited to be building up my craft supplies and I just bought a bottle of glossy accents. I haven't even opened it yet, saw this video and just purchased the cap without thinking twice because this is one of those things you KNOW will be great to have and work!
    Thank you for doing the research for us all and giving us your opinions! Without your video I would have never bought these nervous that the caps wouldn't fit or work as well as touted and money wasted! Thanks!

    I got some tiny little vases at michaels so I can turn the multi matte medium upside down to store it. mine is a lovely shade of green glass. it really helps my carpal tunnel in my wrists. I just don't have to squeeze as hard. it helps me find it easier on my desk too. most people would not even need it, but with me, every little bit helps.

    Thanks Jennifer! For the tiny bottles, the "newest" addition of the SMALL size No-Clog Cap from ScraPerfect fits them perfectly! This is great for fine-line writing, and also for products that clog like the Glossy Accents!
    As soon as you find any resistance from the tip or the cap, we recommend regular maintenance or a deep cleaning with ScraPerfect's Best Cleaner Ever™, the people-safe, earth-friendly solvent. This is not only great for tips, but it cleans tools, scissors, clear and rubber stamps, hands, brushes and more removing driedeven chewing gum from carpets).

    Great tips. I have one of those little bottle with a fine tip used for Quilling and I put my glossy accents in there. I honestly wish Ranger would just put better tips on the glossy accents in the first place. My original bottle got so messed up from poking it to get glue out. That said, it is a great adhesive and a great accent .

    Thanks so much! I often lose the tops of my glue bottles, so I replace them with pins, the one with a bead-like coloured head, so one colour pin-head for low-tack glue and another colour for high-tack glue, as if (or when!) it gets dropped and I can't find it I can use a magnet to locate it. But thanks to your tips I've ordered ScraPerfect tops in Small, Medium and Large, as I myself do like to have the connecter :-) I admit it's my own silly fault for losing things, but maybe glue manufacturers would consider making their glue tops in a bright colour to make it easier to find such small things?

  • @kraftyiam
    @kraftyiam Před 7 lety

    I couldn't wait to get the scraperfect tips (ordered large and medium) to use with Aileen's glue mostly. A bit disappointed as I wasn't expecting to have to squeeze the bottle quite so hard to get it flowing (tried both tips it comes with). And, I also find replacing the cap after each use a lil bit cumbersome (tiny hole). Projects take a lil longer than usual. I've even placed the bottle in hot water to soften the glue - no change. No glue is wasted - a thin line comes out eventually ... I guess I'll get another bottle of glue to use as is and keep this new tip on bottle permanently to be used for tiny projects only. :-(

      @scraperfect Před 9 lety +3

      This will HELP keep the tip clog-free.To better ensure the tip won't clog, the pin and removable tip should be cleaned periodically, especially if the pin starts to stick inside the tip, or pulling the pin out becomes more challenging. We recommend The Best Cleaner Ever™ because it is a safe and effective solvent.

    I tried the Fine Line bottle and did not like it at all. The screw top piece that goes into the tiny nozzle in the cap would get stuck, even though I squeezed the air out and used a pin to clear anything. When I would try to pull the screw part off the top, the whole nozzle would come out. I tried that for the bigger bottles but don't bother.

      I agree!!! --- no matter what I do those **** things clog! I watch videos where everything goes so smooth - no glue on hands/fingers, etc. My blood pressure just goes up when I even attempt - Thank You for saying they do not work for you - you saved me money --- and, if you have an idea oh what to use I would love to hear it. I have used the doubt sided strong tape - do you have any other ideas??? My hands just do not work like they use to, but even then GLUE was my downfall. Sorry for my rambling just to say a 'simple' thank you - lol ----

    I love the fine-tip applicators, but not the $5-7 price tag that I've been seeing on Amazon and other sites. Here's a secret... these 18-20 gauge tips can also be found on many e-cig online stores for about .99 cents each. I'm not promoting vaping, but I AM promoting getting five to seven of these "bad boys" for the cost of one on Amazon. ;)

    • @TheClover2claire
      @TheClover2claire Před 8 lety

      +TheClover2claire The online store called Blitsy carries these tips like the fine line one or others and you can use a Hobby Lobby, Joann's, or Michael's 40% coupon on them if they aren't already on sale. Just write and ask them how to get the coupon codes. The only problem is, some of these tips come in Large, Medium and Small and I don't know what size of bottles they fit. Maybe someone at Blitsy can tell you before you buy them..IT is worth a shot. I can't afford a lot because I live on a small disablility ck a month so I find those 40% coupons work.

      Rob K Thank you for all of you great videos Jennifer, I alway look forward to them.

    • @prettypaperthings
      @prettypaperthings Před 9 lety +2

      It's not about having to replace them, they flow properly but sometimes. Depending on the project were working on or the embellishment we want to use, sometimes we want a finer tip. The tips they come with are fine already but sometimes we want something smaller. If they came with it that size, and we were working with something bigger. It would be the same problem. We'd be looking for a bigger tip, otherwise it's always be time consuming.
      And the multi medium doesn't really clog up, at least not for me, she just mentioned that the fine Tio doesn't either so it is a good option for us. The glossy accents had a tendency to clog up, when you don't properly clean it. It's not rangers fault some people don't properly clean the tip. Jennifer also has a tip on how to not have it clog up, I've been applying it and I haven't had any problems.
