I picked up one of these last week and have been using it at work , I have to say I really like it. I think it feels better in the hand than the standard 11 in 1 from Klein, that's purely subjective of course, but I find myself going straight to this tool for many jobs! Great video by the way!
It does have a good feel to it. Thanks for commenting!
@@projectpinehillsGot this today @ Lowes. Feels good in the hand. Good grip. Thanks for creating the video. Helpful. Beginner here. 😊
I absolutely hate the grip and feel of the Klein drivers… I’ve got 5 years of extremely hard use..the Kleins were terrible.
As a field technician, the fewer tools I have to carry, the better. I will be picking one of these up on my next trip to the store. Great video.
Thanks for watching!
Klein def made some great decisions with this model.
I agree, you can use it as you please.
I was hesitant on this one after watching this review I’m definitely picking it up. The versatility and universal options is a must imo. The fewer tools I have to carry in my pocket the better. 🤙🏽
Thanks for watching!
I'm a homeowner that have been seeing this used in other creators videos for HVAC repair and have been waiting a reason to buy this. I was troubleshooting my AC today and needed a new fuse, so picked this up at the same time. I really like it. My previous goto tool was a Dewalt multibit driver, which I have really liked and never even thought about the the 1/4 nit driver was the standard size for the bits. I appreciate your video.
Hope the video helped. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching! 👍
Great overview. I had to get one after seeing another good review of it. Super cool and the sky’s the limit for different configs.
Thanks for watching!
I’m an industrial electrician, bought one of these in November. It is a great improvement over the old 11-1. Just need to find impact rated flip bits for replacement. As mentioned magnetic nut drivers would be excellent but I can’t see how they would be able to incorporate that feature. Worth the extra money for sure
Thanks for sharing!
Just picked this up today. I really like the original 11-1, but this one seems a little more versatile. I really like it so far. Nice review.
Tough to beat the original, time will tell. Thanks for watching!
I was a big fan of the 7 in 1 flip impact socket model they had. And hoped they’d make this eventually. Makes going back to the truck for my bit case much less common as I always have my 11 in1 on me
I was a fan of the 7 in 1 flip until I knocked the socket off a few times while on a ladder when only having one bit loaded. Thx for commenting!
Thanks for the tutorial. Sister in law brought one and I said let me see if there is something showing how to use this thing, lol 😆. Now I’m off to the fixing.
I’m glad the video helped! Thanks for posting! 👍
Very nice I've been in the electrical work for 25 years always like the regular 11 in 1 this one looks like a good way to go now that everything is being done by impacts these days I'll go get one thanks for that great review
Thanks for watching & commenting!
You can’t go wrong with Klein. They are definitely the best tools out there. It doesn’t matter what trade you are in.
Thanks for sharing!
Cool video grabbed one last week and getting it figured out.
As an industrial electrician, i have tons of stuff i carry with me. There are only a few things i actually carry in my pockets - knife, ticker, sharpie and this new multi tool. The old 11-1 is in the bag.
Magnitize the sockets, Klein! Thanks
Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching!
This thing is slick! Thanks for the overview!
No problem! 👍 Thanks for watching!
New sub for me. I was just looking at these at HD and now I understand it a lot better. Seems very versatile.
Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching. They have a ratcheting version now. 👍
Nice review… The customization is definitely my favorite part… turn it into all sorts of things…👍
Hey thx! I like your overview on it too! I was planning to show more customizations like 3 1/2” Milwaukee bits for recessed screws but ran out of time. You have the perfect ugly xmas sweater BTW. lol
@@projectpinehills 👍
I was actually going to Home Depot to repace my Malco bit and I found this Klein screw driver sold 😊
Klein has a ratcheting version now. Thanks for watching! 👍
That with the Klein impact 7 in 1 is the best customization I can think of right now. Then you have every nut driver size in flip sockets that you can swap out.
That would give you a lot in one tool. Thanks for watching!
I was sold as soon as I heard impact rated ❤
Thanks for commenting!
Very nice! I have it in my Home Depot cart now!
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the Vid. I do solar panel installation & swear by the first 11-n-1 & didn't see this one. Definitely going to get cause the only power tool I have on a roof IS my impact. Cheers-
Thanks for watching!
100% buying as soon as it’s stock at my local HD
Hope the video helped!
I too was skeptical at first. Turns out it is a very versatile tool. I've been using my 11-in-1 with product 32933 extension.
That’s good to hear. I really like the ratcheting version. Thanks for watching!
Great video will be picking one up asap.
Hope you like it, thanks for watching!
Man they did it , my 11-1 annoys the shit out of me sometimes. Being able to pop this out throw in my impact is gonna be extremely useful in hvac installs
Good deal. Thanks for watching!
I already do this with my hvac chuck and my regular 11-1. With the regular 11-1 you get more extension than the new impact 11-1
Thanks for sharing!
@@projectpinehills I got it and it’s very sweet , pairs perfectly with my m12 impact
@@mynamesjeff347 good deal 👍
Thx for sharing good info. Watching from Ontario Canada 🎉
Thanks for watching!
Great review. For the impact part I would rather just leave my driver set up with an impact bit installed and use this just as a screwdriver. It just adds work to take apart the screwdriver to set up the impact and go back and forth between the two.
Good point, hard to beat a malco driver, nice to have the option in a pinch though. Thanks for sharing!
thanks very helpful to see how to pull out all the bits
Thank you and thanks for watching! 👍
Nice! I really, really loathed the 11-1! The bits always fell out so easily. The Klein 10-1 was great in that it didn't let the bits fall out. But they don't make that anymore. I just figured Klein started have the 11-1 made in another country. I ended up going to picquic mult-driver. But I think I will check out this new Klein one. Thanks.
USA made Klein is definitely better, I’d pay more for the 11 in 1 if it were made in the states. Thanks for watching!
Picking up one of these asap!
Hope it’s in stock, thanks for sharing!
Being an impact rated screwdriver i would have loved if they had an impact spot in the back where you can use your hammer on it . Sometimes screws get some dirt built up or rust and that would help lossen it. I mean its no big deal but they already did so much to the screwdriver.
That’s a good point. Thanks for watching!
Just came across your page. Love the video s
Thanks for watching!
What was missing in your video was the ability to put 1/4" drive sockets on it. Sure, I always want to use my cordless drill, but in a pinch, confined spaces or simply convenience the ability to also attached sockets to it is another great feature making the tool even more versatile.
If you are interested in sockets, check this video out: czcams.com/video/XBiWfqO9U-8/video.htmlsi=jAt8PUWmR92CYjFo Thanks for watching! 👍
Amazing screw driver 🤘🏽
Thanks for watching! 👍
Ever since the m12 impact, I don't think I have used my actual "nut driver" in 10 years lol. But still will get one 👍
Lol, Thanks for watching!
The standard 11/1 has some shortcoming. Not accepting a standard 1/4 drive bit seemed so counterproductive to me. Also, my flip bit (PH2/SQ) eventually wore out and would sometimes fall apart in my tool bag. This magnetic version looks much better and more practical. Other multi tip screwdrivers were ahead Klein, and for cheaper. I’m glad they fixed this
Thanks for watching!
yup, I think i’m picking one of these up now
Thanks for watching!
Canadian here - it's nice they included the 2 most useful Robertson's drives (which are super common), but wish they made a metric version. The 3 SAE nut drives are not common up here in anything but American-influenced industry like construction.
Yes, maybe if this tool is successful, Klein will introduce a metric version. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah but we use it for construction bro. Never use metric.
Thanks for watching!
I have a lot of their tools, they make good stuff. Looks like I'll be getting another screwdriver I don't need. 😆
Thanks for watching!
Nut drives need to be magnetic. We need that!
That would be an improvement. Thanks for watching!
As someone who does demo I specifically buy non magnetic nut drivers so I don’t have to flick every fastener out of the drive
A little gum will take it out
Amen brother
Amen
Magnetic !!
It would be perfect!
The would be an improvement! Thanks for watching
Nice job
Thanks for watching!
I may have gotten a bad one but the last 11 in 1 I got I bell mouthed the main shaft and I couldn't insert that end into the handle. This one looks good and sturdy.
Thanks for sharing!
They have life time warentee
Good point!
does the square drive reach the screws on a twin breaker? Sometimes the valley is tight that I always have to use a dedicated driver. My current multi doesn't fit well.
I don’t know, anyone else have an idea?
Does anyone know where you can get replacement bits (in black) lost the #1 #2 square bit
Good question. They sell the bits for the original 11-in-1 on Amazon.
I installed appliances for Lowe’s for 5 years.. and these multi tools were are biggest go to tool for tearing down appliances… honestly I hated the Klein.. with a passion..? Thought they were cheaply made..always lost the bits. These new drivers are interesting to me though. I was at Lowe’s the other day and they had 4 different models.. with a $15 difference in price, we never had these.. I want to pick one up to try. I know electricians love Klein.. but I always avoided them when grabbing tools for the job. Looks like they came up with some new gimmicks, but I want to purchase the flip bit to see if it’s any good.
If you hated the Klein, what was the go to multi tool that you used??
Defnite improvement imo
Thanks for watching!
Funny thing is I was on a job where I had to get a ton of these 3 inch 5/16 screws out there exhaust fans and i didnt have a nut driver for my drill. so i threw my 11 in 1 in my drill chuck. It worked but it destroyed my driver after doing 30+ of these fans. Having this would have been perfect
Thanks for sharing!
Does the new one retain the feature where all the bits constantly fall out of it and get lost on the floor?
Thanks for watching!
Best screwdriver 💯
It is handy, I really like the ratcheting version. Thanks for watching! 👍
Do they have one of those nut drivers with 1/5, 5/16, and 3/8?
It has 1/4, 5/16, and 3/8 inch. Thanks for watching!
Excellent!
Thanks for watching!
@@projectpinehills I went and bought 2 of these today from Home Depot. Thanks again for the most excellent review!
Thanks, much appreciated!
Does the grip slip like On some of the other ones with the new design
Not so far. Thanks for commenting!
I just picked one up yesterday.
What do you think of it? Thx for watching!
I agree that it's an improvement of the original. You did a great job
Thx!
Ill be getting one
Hopefully they are in stock. Thx for watching!
Now if they would sell the handle and the double ended 1/4 collets separately and marked down, that'd be nice.
Ha, I had the same thought! Thx for watching.
Thanks for all that info in this vid.i just got mine today and as i was looking at it I noticed the barrels below the knurling has threads cut into them .
Any idea what that is for ??
What part of the tool are you looking at?
@@projectpinehills the patent pending mid shaft. Just below the words pat pend is a 3 step thread .
It’s a 1/2” nut driver.
@@projectpinehills isn't the1/2 the handle itself? What im seeing is when you remove the shaftfrom the handle and itson the shaft.
Hi. Would I be able to use 5/16 36mm length hex bits in this?
I don’t think so. Thanks for watching.
I got one 2 weeks ago. Hand feel is better and love the impact part but bits fall out easily just like the newer 11 in 1s. Older ones were better. Love the tool tho
Thanks for your feedback.
They left the bit shank hexagonal so you can use it with a wrench. Or take the bit out and you have an hex or (allen). Not sure what size that' ll be but it should work in theory.
Thanks for watching!
What happened to the T10 & T15 on the new screwdriver that the original screwdriver has?
The standard 1” bit holder took the place of one of them. Thanks for watching!
I’ve used the regular 11 in 1 in an impact for years and never had an issue
How did you do that with double ended bits? Thanks for watching!
But does it also accept the Klein Knect pass through sockets?
No, that’s the newer ratcheting version that I have a video about here: czcams.com/video/XBiWfqO9U-8/video.htmlsi=xtG-xrNIEwsiYwPw
What's the threading for on the center piece?
It’s a 1/2” hex. Thanks for watching!
could you plz tell me the distributors or wholesalers of it without amazon
Home Depot is the only place I know that has it.
Klien tool has that too the maco bit
Yeah I have those on the channel too! Thanks for watching! 👍
The 14-in-1 Multi with the shank from the 7-in-1 flip sockets is a more versatile combo than this, while only weighing slightly more. Throw in the 27-in-1 precision security driver and you've got 2 drivers that can tackle almost anything LV or HVAC.
Thank You for sharing!
What model Milwaukee impact was that…?
M12 Surge, thanks for watching!
What is the hidden feature?
And, is the 1/2 inch nut driver really meant to be the handle? Kind of hard to get torque that way.
The hidden feature is the standard 1/4” drive that allows you to run different items. Yeah, handle us 1/2” nut runner. Thanks for watching!
I had this in my hand before checking out but was on the fence and decided to leave it. Next time I'll grab one though. Seems like a good addition to the tool belt.
Keep up the videos
Thanks for sharing!
Game changer
Thanks for watching!
I missed the 1/2 driver? where is it!
I did too… in the video lol. It’s the hex that is part of the handle. Thanks for watching!
Bought one. Thew it out the next day.
Did you like the original?
I'm surprised you didn't call the Torx a star bit? You did mention Robinson when talking about square bit?
Anyway, I'm sold... I will be adding that to my collection of Klein Screwdrivers.
I wish I'd seen this video sooner? I was at Home Depot almost 2 weeks ago? That's over 2 hr drive from my house?
(I'm sure someone will try and be helpful by informing me about shopping online? No need, I'm aware.)
Thanks for sharing!
RO-BERT-SON. not a ro-bin-son.
Do you ever come across square drive screws ?
@@gordonborsboom7460
I use them all the time.
Thanks for the correction. That's what I get for not wearing my reading glasses. I can't trust my phone to predict what I'm trying to say? Lol
Yes I know, Robertson, I misspoke during the vid.
My problem is if I leave one around for any amount of time someone helps themselves to my Klein screwdrivers. I have lost three in two years . Last time someone stole my entire tool bag. (I work downtown in Reno) . So ya. Long as I can keep track of them they work the best.
Dang. Thanks for commenting!
Get the new 11 and 1 and the malco bit. You should have both, if you can't afford both, you're literally eating more money and time
Good point, thanks for watching!
They've got several tools I would buy if they made them in metric
Agreed, thanks for watching!
Damnit now i gotta buy it lol
Ha, Thanks for watching!
Does this mean I can actually hammer on it with my pliers now? hahahaha
Yes. Thanks for watching!
the handle is a 1/2 nut driver, not labeled
Thats right. Thanks for watching!
So what was the "hidden feature!"?
That you can customize the center collet.
🔥
Thanks for watching!
No mm version?
Not yet, thx for your comment!
Great video btw!
Thx for watching! I meant to show some more mods on the tool.
Now if they could figure out how to make it ratcheting, that would be the ultimate!
Thanks for watching!
Not a fan of the 5/16 nut driver. It’s recessed a little bit more than I’d like and starts to slip on some screws. I have a set of Wiha nut driver bits and they’ll grab what this Klein cannot.
Thanks for watching!
Would be better if "impact" rated meant you could tap the back with a hammer and it would slightly turn the bits towards the left (loosening) direction.
I know what you mean! Thanks for watching! 👍
Nice tool. Next step . . . ratchet in the handle.
It’s would be interesting to see how that would work. Thanks for watching!
The fact that this is slightly longer than the standard 11 in 1 means it shouldn't slide down and get stuck at the bottom of a Carhartt pouch. One small plus....
Yes. Thanks for watching!
Definitely a better channel than LastbestTool
What a compliment? Thanks for watching!
Those are called 1/2" nut drivers. 1/2" hex is an allen key.
Yes! Thanks for watching!
The bits stay in the impact!!!
Thanks for watching!
I think i’ll prefer the old one…. As far as daily work, i never felt it wasnt strong enough….. i think i’d cringe busting up my stuff in the impact anyway.
Hard to beat the standard 11-1. I like that I can drive any 1” hex bit with this new one. Thanks for watching!
Worst thing about the original is rust. Second, driver shank is too short for many applications.
Yeah there are always trade-offs, convenience (bit count) vs function. Thanks for watching!
atleast when it comes to combo tools , klien is trash. I have between 5 to 10 different hand tools or flip socket sets and they all jam. Constantly having to use 2 pairs of channel locks to get bits free again. To the point I just carry 5 tools I can grab quickly, as opposed to their one tool that takes me minutes to switch bits.
Thanks for your feedback!
Not Robinson. Robertson.
Yes I know, thanks for watching!
The biggest problem with all of the “?? in 1” tools is the Phillips bits! The second the Phillips bit wears , which never last long, the tool becomes almost useless. The Phillips is by far the most needed bit. If it can’t be replaced by itself, this tool has no use to me.
Good point. Need availability of replacement bits. Thanks for watching!
I'm going to keep on using my ratcheting 11 and 1, provided no stinking maintenance man gets his hands on it and uses it for a chisel, AGAIN!
ha! Thanks for watching!
I have been an Electrician for over 40 and although Kiein tools are just about the best all- around you can get. However, any time you get a tool that dose more than one thing it tends to be crap for everything. I personally cannot stand 11in ones or wire stripers that have plyers, crimpers and stripers it`s all crap. I tell all my apprentices to toss it in the trash.
I think it depends on what your trying to achieve. Small maintenance job, where compact convenience shines vs. a big job where you have a lot of repetitive work and prefer a standard tool. Thanks for commenting!
I would lose all those pieces. 😢
Lol, I get it! Thanks for watching!
