- We came across Jared's 1996 #landroverdiscovery1 at our local #overland meet-up and had to feature it on our CZcams channel series of #adventurerigs. His 1996 overland rig is an awesome #budgetbuild that he has put a lot of passion, sweat, and love for the outdoors into. This is evident in some of the amazing modifications he has built, including, the custom roof rack, platform storage, and homemade water tank.
Jared's rig is a fine example of the type of overland/adventure rig you can build without breaking the bank...because what it all comes down to is getting out there, connecting with nature, and enjoying the journey.

Disco 1 > Disco 2 ... I've owned 1 Discovery 1 and 2 Discovery 2s. The Disco 1 V8 was bad ass and I miss it!

You are good at interviewing people. This guys car is fully loaded and ready for anything. Since I'm doing a lot more camping it would be cool to have an off roading vehicle.

Loving the Land Rover. I like budget build. I'm not all about buying a brand new vehicle for overlanding. Seems silly when there's always a chance it will get beat up a bit. Jessie keeps wanting to get stuff for our H3 to make it an overlander. I'm sure it would be good for it, but I just haven't decided if I want to do that or not. This was a great tour. Lots of good info.

What manufacturer of front and rear bumpers please?
The front bumper is a custom build and the rear bumper I believe is from Safari Guard.
Give him some scrap wood and he’ll find something cool to do with it.
Half of the fun is making your own mods!
How tall are you and what kind of headroom do you have.
Jared is pretty tall and hasn’t complained about any headroom.
I'm 6'0" tall. If you're referring to headroom in the cab of the truck while driving its great. Probably have a good 6" above my head before hitting the roof.
