There are very few men of God that truly do it for love of the Gospel. I have only met 1 pastor he was my pastor for a few years that refused the congregations offer of a new car a new house etc. He chooses to rent in the poorest neighborhood and drive his old minivan. He donates part of his pastor salary to the poor.

Hi, I’m trying to understand the dynamic of these issues.
What does Saint Paul mean when he says ...
... “What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yes, and will rejoice.”
      - Philippians 1:18
The congregations are giving them the money willingly, believing that they are serving the Lord, both giver and receiver.
So what is the interest of the interviewer in this ? What alternate plan does he have for the ministry, and the congregation ?

I can't believe that everyone misses the point::::
      He is Hiding NOTHING.
All of you that hate Copland's Ministry. You are just upset
because of the money he makes which is 100% above board with the IRS.
AND His Partners knew openly BEFORE they gave that the donation was
going to be used to buy a jet. HOW ABOVE BOARD can you be. If you
don't want Him to have a jet then don't give. ALSO Regarding His Home:
He has a set salary and the money He purchased His Home with was MOSTLY
from People Giving to Him (WITHOUT HIM EVEN ASKING) and people would
give saying. Buy yourself a big home for the Ministry. Sounds like God
is doing something. AND HE has NEVER EVER Taken money from His own
offering except the money He gets paid by Salary. Not a dime more.
And He (Copland's son) is RIGHT when he says. "He is protecting his
      First Amendment rights"

Shaken not stirred You are exactly right! I was so put off with Christianity and who I thought Jesus was and I wanted nothing to do with Jesus or church or anything related to it, but one night back in 2015 while laying in the bed listening to some 3 doors down, just out of the blue, I had this epiphany or encounter with Jesus, I didn’t hear or see anything or anyone but in an instant, In my heart, all of the sudden Jesus gave me assurance that He was exactly who He claimed to be and I should never put my trust in man, only trust in Him. He exposed those supposed men of God to me for what god they really served and that they were wolves in sheep’s clothing Then He gave me a heart of repentance and forgiveness, wisdom and understanding and He woke me up to everything going on in the world and if not for that encounter or whatever it was, I would have never known the Love of Abba Father or that Jesus is the (Only)Way back to Him. Wow! Why would the Everlasting Father want anything to do with my POS self?!? My family can’t even stand me! All I can say is thank you, Heavenly Father, for having mercy on this waste of space that I was and for Your daily sanctification, molding me into a usable vessel for Your Kingdom! HalleluYah!

@@gherieg.1091 the interviewer is pointing out that the whole truth of the Bible is not preached in this so called church. The Kennth Copeland church is a business like many other churches who believe in the prosperity gospel. The money that this ministry brings in is in the millions and what are they doing with the money to help the kingdom of God. Some of the money is spent on a state of art planes and hanger aviation real estate. Kenneth Copeland has not one plane, but many planes. The people that donate funds are blindly giving to a ministry that is not grounded in the Word of God. These people lack discernment when it comes to the faith and I wonder if they read the Bible for themselves. In this present day and the past some of the congregations only hang on the word of the pastor, instead of discovering for themselves what the Bible says.
I understand the verse you’re pointing out by Paul. I prefer the churchs to preach the true word of God and more people would be saved because of the truth. So it’s the job of each individual to find a church that truly preaches the word of God.

And most of the newfangled skinny jeans ministries are communist fronts who work to hand Christians over to the Woke “Forced Floyd Compassion” !
We are facing the 666 in the Woke movement of Antifa/BLM now. The Deep State of the US are on their side completely.

At about 4 minutes, he says that a jet is needed. Is he bigger than God? He does not need a jet, there are other people raised up by God all over the world who preach "The Gospel" - we don't need Kennet Copeland or any Word of Faith minister to liberate us; we need Jesus Christ. Kenneth Copeland's son has come under the same spell as every consumer christian. They have led thousands astray with their prosperity gospel and people will still fall prey to their appeals. I learned years ago that if you are in awe of a preacher or are made to feel that their ministry in the only path to "salvation" then something is radically wrong. The Gospel was spread throughout the world without private jets for 1900 years, why would it be necessary to have a jet now? God is bigger than a jet or a "ministry" and He has placed us all in strategic places on the earth to share the Word. We will not misroute it we fail to donate or "tithe" to a given ministry. We are called to be living sacrifices, not stars or super idols. Wake up Christians and stop pouring good money after bad into a "ministry" that basks in luxury and lies about the Word of God to such an extent that well meaning people on the breadline will give their last penny/dime to see that "ministry" grow bigger. Most of these ministries started off with an element of truth and at least some real spirituality but they have strayed from the path. Remember, the devil knows he cannot get away with blatant lies so he dilutes the truth and then mixes it with lids that sound plausible. Turn to ~Jesus Christ, not a platform pastor with a jet!

    • @number1pappy
      @number1pappy Před 2 lety

@@gherieg.1091 the problem here ,Gherie G is that the "reciever" isn't receiving with the interest in the lord! I truly am sorry that you don't see this and I will pray for you! I will pray that God lifts the veil that keeps you from seeing the truth about Kenneth Copeland.

    • @gherieg.1091
      @gherieg.1091 Před 2 lety

@@number1pappy I didn’t say Kenneth Copland is honest, necessarily. But I’ve learned a lot from his TV programs when I was growing in the Lord. That is undeniable service to the Lord from Kenneth, isn’t it ?
And there are a lot of people like me who get fed the Word of God through not only Kenneth, but even Benny Hinn who is more visibly a fraud.
But there are people who are seeking the face of the Lord are being edified by these preachers, and God knows about it, and He harvests the benefit.
Whoever is not receiving right, though ... do you remember what the Lord Jesus says to those who said “we served you so well, why are you rejecting us” ?
That’s when He’s going to pay them back for any nefarious things that they did as shepherds of God’s children.
Again I remind you of what Paul said when there were people preaching the Word to spite him while he was in jail.
The Word of God, no matter who preaches it, has an active and productive Life of its own.
It accomplishes the Work of God.
Thank you for the offer of prayer, pray for me anyway, but not to open my eyes. I walk fine with the Lord, praise God.
Jesus is Lord. God bless you. ☦️💚🙂

Goes to show how narcissism and self-deception can affect any of us. I used to watch Copeland in the 1980s, but his focus on the calling of Christ sadly has been confused with the determination to maintain a style of ministry at the expense of his original calling. His hands have become too clean and his clothes too fine. It is an intoxicating addiction few can resist.

They tithed in crops not money but today's preachers have changed that to money. We have a direct line to God now through Jesus Christ and therefore tithing is irrelevant. But feeding the orphans and widows is required if you can spare it.

They say God is a good God and yes I agree but by what standard are they basing 'goodness' on? It seems they are basing their idea of goodness on societies standards of existential wealth and not the bible's standards of goodness which is internal cleanliness. The purpose of the church as in a congregation is to raise up Christians as disciples to maturity in order to send them out so they can demonstrate the power of God in their individuals lives, communities, to a dark fallen world, and replicate that all over again. Jesus ministry can be succinctly summed up as "he demonstrated the power of God in everything he did, said and the way he lived". Now they ma say yes we do too, but 'power' is a complex word.
Power doesn't necessarily mean physical healing, restored finances, (not just) it's a level of demonstration of God's character that defies the standards of society and surpasses their understanding. Our spiritual gifts open up the doors, our character keeps the doors open, and the blessings of God in it physical form allows us to continue to do that on larger and larger scales, but the real power is the demonstration of God's character and faithfulness that brings the light into the darkness and restores from the inside out. Money is a tool, a means of enabling an individual the freedom of movement and choice that's all it is. Preachers are supposed to user that tool to pay for basic needs to be fed, clothed, and to become mobile, so they are enabled to spread the message to more and more people. The problem isn't having money, the problem is excess.
If a preacher has all 'blessings' and no character how can he be of God? If a preacher is all character and no demonstration the same goes, if a preacher is all demonstration of spiritual gifts no character the same goes. My point is a servant of God demonstrates Gods power like Jesus did in ALL areas of their lives they live by his standards. God is good by his standards which means he is justifiably wrathful and merciful at the same time. If a preacher teaches all earthly blessings, and focuses on physical demonstrations only and does not feed the body with truth, does not disciple them, does not bring them into maturity, does not enable them to go out and be a light in the darkness, and cannot demonstrate to be of good character by God's standards he or she is not of God.
In regards to Copeland and Hinn and howard browne etc All that is evident is existentialism - giving to get - physical blessings = spiritual power, poverty = sin (lack of faith) wealth = holiness etc.. it's the same teaching as the Pharisees of Jesus day. This is why he said if the cup isn't clean on the inside it isn't clean, even if it's perfect on the outside.

Apostle Paul wrote (1 Timothy 6:5-11) about "men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness."
