Just saw Loosey at T.V. Eye in Ridgewood, Queens. It was an all Oi-Punk show. The Stress opened the Skinhead fest. A lot of good NY bands alongside California headliners, Repeat Offender & Castillo. Loosey was on fire! Even with equipment & sound malfunctions, Loosey kept the hijinks & music going. Fizzy is a born frontman. His banter with the crowd & bandmates reminds me of the old Dean Martin Roasts back in the 1970s. Don Rickles would have been very proud 👏
Uh, just curious what the hell are skinheads doing these days? Hosting shows apparently, it seems. Is the culture as militant as it once was portrayed, once upon a time, or have things mellowed out and it's for everyone?
@Shane Barnes
Thanks for your reply. By the sound of your question, it seems to be rhetorical & sarcastic. Skinheads are like a lot of people. They go to work, have families & friends. They're a part of a subculture that originally sprang up from the East End of London. Read "The Spirit of 69: A Skinhead's Bible." It was written by 1 of the original Skinheads, George Marshall. By your inference of militancy, you have a notion that it was political i.e. Fascist or some kind of right-wing rally. The concert was non-political. It was just music & mutual love, a working class family & Rock N Roll. Everybody is different, even Skins. You have a variety of opinions & attitudes. Thus, is life. For the record, I'm not a Skinhead. I'm just a fan of all kinds of Rock N Roll & their different subcultures. I hope that my words explain everything clearly. If it didn't, the best way forward would be to go ask a Skinhead.
@@mourad2229 My man. That's a good response. Naw, no sarcasm, trust. I encounter neo-nazis in black metal that try to find out where I live. Kinda a little anti-what-I-believe. Just curious. I've done more LSD than a Vietnam-Veteran, and I'm only 25. I guess that's why you assumed that it was rhetorical and sarcastic? Weird wording? Idk, keep it real. Keep finding blasphemous and awesome music.
I've had this blasting over and over again I just wanna know more so I can buy all their shit.
@Shane Barnes
Cool! I'm glad you like the music. You can find these band's on CZcams or Bandcamp.I listen to a lot of Black Metal-Death Metal, Grindcore. Emperor is on tour & Spectural Wound with Catacombs. Both killer shows!
I'm hearing strong Meatloaf-Punk vibes in #2 & #3 is Springsteen singing for the Ramones.
Well played
I’m livin’ now fuck back in the day!
Literally the best band
some of that ny hounds magic... feels good!

Glad to be born in the right generation.

awesome intro
"Marie" recalls early BTO, i.e. "Gimme Your Money Please." Loosey also recall Mott The Hoople. soulful stuff, rock all nite, & to hell w/ everything else.
Excellent. I can't help but link this to Kiss. Say if early Kiss was punk.
