- Defrag a hard drive. This is an animated video explaining what is defragmention or doing a defrag on your hard drive. Defragging your hard drive will speed up your computer. How to make your computer faster? Do SSDs have to be defragged?
I am teaching adult autists in IT-technics here in Vejle, Denmark. One of my students is dyslexic. He cannot read or write very good. Thanks to yours, and many other tutorials here on youtube, I am able to lead him through his education. He will one day become a highly skilled, and well paid IT-supporter - in spite of his two major challenges. I just want you to know, that thanks to your graphical way of producing these videos my guy is learning on the same level as his normal-reading classmates. You are making a difference.
Thank you :)
You too sir
You are such a good teacher who understands the problem of being dyslexic. I wish all teachers were like you.
I am in Albania and I am very good at IT... what chances do I have to become a well paid IT-supporter in Denmark?
*Seriously, this channel is God-sent. Thank my dear lord for this channel and its unmitigated knowledge.*
Thank you. :)
Thank you Sir.
could you make a video about single, dual and quad channel?
Could you also mention what slot is better in a dual channel platform?
For example is it better to stick (dual channel) memory in A1+B1 slot or A2+B2 or A1+A2 or B1+B2 or A1+B2 or A2+B1 or any other thing?
Thanks too and nice said by you, look for more on computersubjects
@@PowerCertAnimatedVideos thank u boss
Straight to the point using clear explanations and visuals, love your videos!
I thought exactly that when I watched the video
This is the best visual explanation I’ve found on CZcams regarding defragmentation.
Thanks
cc p
You are the authority of IT teaching. Please make a video every day. Your videos are about your content, not yourself, which many other tutorial videos lack. Many CZcamsrs waste time trying to be funny/quirky for their audience instead of just delivering straight to the point fluent, easy-to-understand education like your videos give.
Thank you :)
This channel is undoubtedly the gold standard for what a tutorial learning channel should be. It is so well done.
This channel is underrated :(
I came here on CZcams looking for an explanation for defragmentation but I sincerely was expecting a hard time understanding it, since i don't have any background in computer science, but this video was so delightfully made it's just so easy to grasp the idea. The animations are really amazing and help channel the ideas more accurately.
Rarely when I leave a comment, or I feel compelled to put a like or a subscribe, but you definitely deserve it :)
One of the best channels out there, so glad I found it.
Keep the good work!!!
Thank you
this is a tutorial from a man who understand what is he saying not just memorize some stuff and throw it in your face

blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

No one asked for your opinion
Seven years passed and still find this usefull. Thanks for the good work.

Very well explained indeed
I am a trainee of CompTIA A+. Some of the IT terms look me very hard. When I look into google. It gives me a formal solution that does not fulfill my demand. But your videos help me a lot. I also watched your video about RAID that inspired me too much. I owe you🙏
very precised and well-explained after 15years i have now a very clear idea on defragmentation.. 🥰🥰🥰🤗🤗❤️❤️
your not only an I.T but you are also avery good teacher to us. thanks a lot. 😘
its good to see someone who doesnt have a 5 minute intro before explaining what it does love the video man

Thanks for the info I saw a 13% fragmentation on my father's machine and now I know exactly what it is
These videos of yours are so easily and understandably explained, that even a Cave Man can understand! No offense to any actual Cave Men harmed or distressed reading this comment.
This vídeo bring me nostalgia of early 2000s. Its really look like a old vídeo :D
Did you ever watch videos from the early 2000's? Looks nothing like it. This is more reminiscent of the early 2010's.
I have never ever in my life asked someone to make a video. I ask you because there is something special bout your content
Thanks for the video dude, the visuals are so good with the explanation! I now think it as a solved Rubik's Cube.

Just came across this channel by my teacher's recommendation. Invaluable tool for learning. Explaining abstract concepts in a formidable way. Please keep up with this excellent work.
These video should be back in 90s as i start to learn. Well i learnt them in hard way. You guys make them simpler. Thanks.
Love the way he explains things. Very understandable and not complex to unwravel
You exceptionally explained this topics very well. You're much better than my instructor who get paid for what we pay as students to learn.
I can't imagine how hard this man might have worked for all these videos. Thank you so much for this, may God bless you abundantly. ❤️
Wow so clear ! Thank you! I am looking at my computer screen while watching this video at the same time and thinking why ssd doesn't take too long to get optimized while HDD takes so long. And here you're I got the answer ! Ty so much !
Never seen presentation being that smooth in these presentation apps. When text starts doing that appear animation, it slows down to 1fps.
Off-topic asides, Very informative and great visual demonstration
So this is why my pc was running slowly after time. learnt something new today.
I never understood defragmentation before watching this video tbh great visuals and explanation 👍👍👍
It's made my computer so much faster. I had a 16gb ram, 2.9ghz processor and it was slow. After defragging it, it's now fast. Thanks
This channel is so powerful. Please keep helping people. Thank you
Great explanation and graphics. I used to think why defrag my hard drive, what does it all mean. After watching this I really understand the rationale behind the process. I particularly the part at 2:04 where you explained how the fragmentation occurs in the first place.
Who the hell the THOSE 10 PEOPLE WHO DISLIKED!!???

Ive always wondered how data is even stored in the first place and this video taught me~! Thank you!
even 2 years ago... this video deserve more like and subscriber...
Awesome stuff.Never stop making these nice videos. We need them
This is why I always put the OS on a seperate drive, defrag it and never install software on it.
It really does make a difference, especially on older devices.
Smart defrag is a wonderful piece of software. You can use it free, or pay to get additional features (you really won't need them if you only want to defrag)
Wonderfully put together video. Nice animations too.
modern file systems(which most OS's not implement) got a lot better at avoiding fragemtnation tho ot the point where only really old drives or drives that see a LOT of file movement evne require them(and when they do the OS can handle the job on the fly when it determines it has spare time to do so.)
The animation really helped me to understand this process. Thank you for explaining it too well!
Best definition one can ever give about defragmentation. Kudos to u guys :)
Amazing As Usual !! We heartedly appreciate your efforts ❤
Thank you for this explaination I understand more the way you explained than my trainer...I am currently training for computer systems servicing..thank you..kodus
I imagine our brain do same thing with memories and new knowledge learned throughout the day during our sleep the same way harddrives defrag itself
I'm learning a lot by your videos. I very appreciate that
I'm loving this channel, hope it will continue as good as it is. Easy to understand and very helpful!
Big thumbs up on this video. Always wondered what it did. Perfect explanation.

Sure is good channel but I wouldn't go that far
@@castigohd Techquickie is corny and he tries too hard to be funny.
Especially after the troon joined
Thankyou for explain in very easy language....i m from india😄
0:44 This was oddly satisfying. Excellent video! :)
I like more and more this channel, full informations in few mins, your videos r short and helpful .
❤️Thank you so much for explaining this feature in the best way possible, I love all your videos👌
Wow, you should be a teacher. I love the way how you explain stuff.
I just started defragging my hdd for the first time in 2 years it was like 50% fragmented and it's gonna take 3 hours
You can enable scheduling so your system can do it for you weekly
I have been defragging my HDD now for 22 hours and it's still not complete. It was at 53% previously
An excellent demonstration! Thank you.
Greetings Sir..
New subscriber here, I'm from Indonesia.
Glad to know that channel like this exists on CZcams, keep your hard work sir :)
Thanks
Great channel deserves more subscribers
To the author of this video; great explanation of the architecture in operation of an HHD. I would ask that you look up the definition for “close” & “proximity”. When you use “close” you don’t need to use “proximity” right behind it. That is called redundancy. Just as somebody might use a foolish term like “tiny little”.
Great power point presentation 👏 👌 👍 💪 🙌 💯
Pretty good explanation i came here because i've heard alot of this thing on ps2 scene and I wanted to know what it is.Now i know ty :))
Hi dear , you are very great person for generations. I appreciate your teaches and its messages. it is very memorable. Your videos are unique from others. Animation!!! In short thank you very much for your time! Ads!
