- Raison is a small cluster of villages on the banks of Beas river about 12 km north of Kullu. In past around 100 years ago Kinnauras' ancestors came with sheep ,goats mule, donkey,horse, cow & ox🐏🐑 as a NOMAD to Kullu
Temporary settlement at RAISON empty ground (Raison thanga)
Started to migrate to the LAST VILLAGES of Lahoul-spiti, where they traded with TIBETANS who used to come with their cattle (Goats,Sheep, Yaks, Churu etc) by BARTERING with ANAJ (GRAINS especially RICE grown in KYARS) taken from Kullu.
These people are conserving our culture and tradition in raison . They have made a unwritten code/rule that, everyone will try to CONSERVE cultural traditions , like wearing Kinnauri topi , if someone defying shall be fined etc.
As regards the faith/ religious activities, they built GOMPHA (MONASTERY) wherein mostly Lamas/monks are from Laddakh /, Tibetans.
As regards the village deity, as the majority of initial migrants were from PANGI, so obviously they started to worship their deity at Kinnaur SHESHERING DEVTA, later on made same rath here.....
When I came to know about the mini kinnaur Raison Since then I wanted to come here and know It from the elders of Raison .

A kinnaur out side kinnaur.. Incredible.. We knew that Raison area in Kullu- Manali has large no. of kinnauri population but it is heartening to learn that our tradition & culture is being preserved and maintained in true spirit.. Dr Chander dev negi is an ambassador of our identity there.. It is a nice vlog, nice and perfact.. and you have to further set high leval of excellence..

I have seen many Kinnauri and Lahauli in the past but I could not differentiate between them, but through your videos we have understood them and we started loving more because His Holiness the Dalai Lama has always loved all the himalayan tribes from Ladakh,Kinnaur, Lahaul and Arunachalis.
