- "I've brought a young man -- a boy, actually -- to stay at the house. He's … lost his parents at roughly the same age that I … That I lost you. I don't know what will happen. I don't see myself as any sort of father figure. But … I think I can make a difference in his life.”

This would have been the perfect opportunity for an animated sequel since its October
I recently read both of these back to back. Probably my favorite Batman I’ve read so far
This story is very underrated. I especially adore the Long Halloween and thought this was a solid sequel with the inclusion and telling of Robins's origin coinciding with this larger mystery, which I love.
I "returned" to comics about 10 years ago after taking a 30 year hiatus. As it turned out, I actually read Dark Victory BEFORE Long Halloween. Thought it was great. Loved it. Far better than those cheesy bronze age books I was reading as a teenager. Of course, LH is my favorite of the two.
Which ones in the bronze age?
Same 😊
Lol, why would it not be legal for Harvey to represent himself in court? Anybody who is on trial has a right to defend themselves or appoint an attorney to defend them. And since Harvey is a D.A. it makes even more sense.
Long Halloween fumbles its ending. Dark victory doesn't. They are equal to me
I personally think it's the opposite. I think Long Halloween absolutely nailed the ending whereas Dark victory was slightly lackluster.
I'm reading that book for the first time and I'm liking it more than I did the long halloween
In my opinion the long Halloween is better but this was still amazing
Yeah me too
Ironic that Bale said Dark Victory is his favourite Batman tale considering he didn’t want Robin in the trilogy
To be fair, his PR person may have just told him a handful of names and he liked that one. But I choose to believe he really likes this story.
