Wintergrasp - Music & Ambience | World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King

- Wintergrasp is a large zone located between the Sholazar Basin, Borean Tundra, Dragonblight, and Icecrown. Wintergrasp was once the location of a vast lake known as Lake Wintergrasp; the lake has shrunk since then, leaving the basin open to exploration. Wintergrasp contains a valuable mine, ownership of which is contested by the Horde and Alliance in order to reap its riches.

I did not do a lot of PvP here, but the place was lovely after the fight was over, particularly for the miners :)
On a personal note, I hope everyone is doing well. We have ended the period of total isolation here in Spain, and me and my family are spending quite a bit of time in nature, far from civilization. I feel better after a long time.

good to hear that your family is fine bro !
Nice to hear mate ! Take care and have good time with your family outside ;) . Hello from france
@Stuard Locko Thank you
@L'éveil des Anciens merci! :)
Happy to hear Meisio. This and the last video are so beautiful! You did those zones well.
I'm really glad they went this direction. It's not your typical battleground music. It's the music of the lonely landscape and history. It's only when you enter the battle...is when you hear the drums.
My old haunt. Seriously this one gives me just so much nostalgia. God dammnit, I miss it so much!
I hope it raises to your expectations. Thank you for watching
This brings me back; I have the chills listening to this.
So much farming for my engineer bike. I spent entire days off listening to this music, chatting with guild members during farming, PVP, and a lot of streaming television shows while I farmed. It was nerdy, it was isolating from the outside world, but I still have fond memories of it.
For whatever reason the music of Wintergrasp left its mark on me, I don't really know why, maybe I was particularly happy and excited when I was experiencing this event in WotLK at the time and it became some kind of resonant core memory to me. Listening to it now makes me smile and feel nostalgia, athough WoW will never be the same I'm thankful for what it has given me during those days.
Hope they eventually get around to making WotLK legacy servers. For me that expansion was the peak of enjoyment of the game and they are, by far, my favorite zones in the game.
Thanks for continuing to make these videos!
J PW same here
I hope so too. Hopefully it will come after TBC.
I love what you do Meisio. Please don't stop anytime soon. We NEED that kind of WoW Music.
I hope I'll have the strength to continue as well. I want to do all the zones in WoW :)
Thank you for the support!
So much nostalgia. ❤️
Hey Amber
Lich King was the main expansion I did the most PvP. Here in Wintergrasp, and Venture Bay, the harbor in southern Grizzly Hills. I wasn't the best at PvP, but I would have so much fun running around and joining in the fight. For me, it wasn't about being the best. I was more concerned about having fun.
One of my most indelible PvP memories happened in Wintergrasp. Right after the battle had finished, our winning side was picking off stragglers in the courtyard of the fortress. I was flying my rogue around seeing where I could contribute. I see an Alliance shaman mounted and just booking it for the roof of the fortress since we were taking out anybody foolish or slow enough to try rushing the Dalaran portal just inside the door. I start pursuing but he's got a pretty good lead and I'm afraid he'll get to the roof and hearth out unchallenged.
I see his hearthstone casting bar nearing completion and pull off an aerial dismount into a Sprint right near the edge of this impossibly high fortress roof and manage to get a Sap in before he gets away. I start spamming keys and he does too. We both tiptoe around the apex of the roof and I get around behind him where he then Thunderstorms me to within a foot of falling off the backside of the fortress. I regained my composure and moved in for the killing blow.
The battles I took part in here were legendary and glorious.
I love how Wintergrasp and Winterspring music are slow and a little somber, reflecting the energy of the snow and ice 🩵
And by the way, I think your channel has the best progression and order comparing to the others
In my humble opinion, there never has been, nor ever will be a zone that was so awesome during its expansion... I used to pvp here, farm here and as someone who started halfway through BC I used to mainly pvp, but I got my first taste of "raiding" here... honestly it was so satisfying winning a hard fought battle then getting the rights to plunder the vault of Archavon...
Best expansion ever ❤ miss you old friend
Fished for what seemed like hundreds of hours here just so I could make more clam chowder than Red Lobster. Alliance and Horde, all fishing at the same hole. No one messed with anyone. We just wanted to make Dalaran Clam Chowder, the breakfast of champions. Oh, and the PVP was amazing. This was always my fave BG. So beautiful.
It is 2008. 2009 i decided to say goodbye to WoW. This was my last expansion. It was great. And especially this music reminds of the melancholic side of WoW.
Goodness, this music brings me back to childhood, playing WoW with my dad. What wonderful memories a simple soundtrack can restore. Tysm for your library of WoW zone music; you've done a great thing for myself and many others.
When I first got here in retail and noticed the songs, my god, the most pleasurable mining by far for me.
It is a memory just and bit sad but soothing, love it, thank you
Meisio thank you for publishing this music. I've been play Warcraft since Warcaft II Orcs and Humans. I don't play anymore because I just don't have that kind of time but to sit back behind Visual Studio cranking out C# code and being able to listen to my favorite WoW music is awesome. Thank you.
Happy to offer support for an old school gamer, now doing something more meaningful :D
Thank you for watching James :)
In some places my heart aches from listening to this topic, very nostalgic
Thank you very much for making this!
Simply amazing. Wotlk Classic will for me, be like comming home again.
the experience will never be the same , all the classic rewokrs now are a total shitshow
Used to PvP here all the time as a Boomkin. Fully engineered and enchanted/gemmed PvP gear. Nobody was safe from me. I had my 1 shot macro all set up plus all kinds of escapes/potions/trinkets. Ganked here between random BG's, watching Swifty videos. When I needed to go AFK, simply found a bush and cat form -> prowl. This was WoW at its prime.
Thank you Meisio for continuing to make these videos. I have been watching them since you had only a 2k sub count. I think the first one I watched was your 3 hour Dun Morogh one. Wintery zones like this one are my favorite so I am glad to now see Wintergrasp on your channel. Congrats on almost hitting 12K subs as of this post.
Thank you Mike for staying with me that long. Happy you still enjoying my work
I second that early congrats on 12k, hopefully we'll live to see you reach 1million😁 (hey, it's a good wish, we shall be very old when that happens, at the current rate of increase😅)
Thanks! I do miss this place.
My pleasure! :) Thank you for watching.
I love this place!! Oh.. nostalgia! Thank you, Meisio! 😍😍
Glad you enjoyed it Adrian! :)
I love this one so much. Sadly never really played WOTLK. Thanks Meisio!
So much blood spilled on this place hahaha. Great times!
You should do a wintergrasp video that has all the relaxing wintergrasp music, not the battle drums. Like when it’s not at battle.
The first world battlefield and full PvP region that Blizzard ever made, it's still spectacular till today, of course much better than Tol Barad and Ashran.
To my shame, I did not visit a lot the Battlegrounds after Vanilla... So I don't know... :)
such an oddly serenic place for a warzone
Thank you so much for your work. You did so many videos with Wow music & Ambience. The video quality are very good and the sound too, everytime.
At the moment with my main, i'm doing all the old quest around the world, zone by zone to understand and remember better the history of Wow. I read the quests, i never skip !
Witergrasp is soooo beautiful. The music in this place like the moment at 46:38 when the little "ding" start to play make it very special. For me it's like the sound of peace of mind.
And the trumpets at 47:48 are so beautiful too... Ok ! Anyway i did not played today, so i had to ! *lauching wow*.
It's very serene indeed. I don't even know why this music has been chosen for a battleground. But I am grateful it exists :)
Que des bon souvenirs, meme si on étais ennemi vous me manquerez.
Nostalgia mode on, 2009 routine: every tuesday on reset, do weekly wintergrasp to do the halls
another great one omg
Thank you Zenith :)
Beautiful i till play wow and field like the first
WOTLK best wow ever
thanks I love it
I'm glad you loved it :)
Thank you for watching!
Key to winning there is taking Broken Temple. That's written in the sacred texts. Take the BT = win the BG. And make catapults, LOTS of catapults
I'll try to do apply this strategy next time there. Too bad it will be probably in 5 years since I am not a fan of PvP anymore :D
Your music is the best nostalgia food I've ever had. Thank you. Any plans to do Dalaran?
Of course. Hopefully soon.
Thank you for the kind words :)
Coincidently I just did the battleground version of this early today. It reminds me of the days I used to grind the tokens (I forgot the name) that would drop from here.
No idea how they are called also :D I was here in between the battles to mine saronite :)
Thank you for watching Alex! :)
Battleground version of Wintergrasp? What do you mean?
One of those favorites zones in WoTLK
