I like this guy. He talks about aspects of the knives that I don't hear mentioned and/or explained in a way that helps me.

I think I might pick one of these up, seems perfect for cutting up all this kale I have.

I love kale and have been mistaken for a hipster more than once.

    Hello again Doc
Thank you for another Great Video. I'm not sure of the practicality of a cleaver knife. Thank you again

Gerber folders? Last thing I’d expect from someone with such impeccable taste in well made tools😅 a Chris Reeve Sebenza would blow your mind in terms of tolerances, customer service and overall build quality/design.

I came this close to buying a Sebenza, but knew I wouldn't use it. I have a couple knives that sell for over $500 and they just look pretty on my dresser. Benchmade is my sweet spot.

@@lastbesttool makes sense!! Spyderco is my favorite for affordable users. They use soooo many different knife steels. Makes it fun!!

@@bigneek714 lol spyderco is expensive for what you get. Ruike and civivi are far better

The two Gerbers remind me of (nautical) riggers knives.

Similar. Nautical knives have more of a sheep foot blade to avoid accidental cuts and best of all, a knot opening spike. I used to have a Buck one.

I'm not a fan of the "cleaver" blade shape but I guess it would work pretty well as a box butter. I'd rather have disposable blades for that especially vs crap steel.
