Absolutely beautiful 💞 You can tell this is an Ashton Ballet, it has such a Classic British/Golden Age of Cinema feel to the expressions and phrasing xx

This ballet is so quick in the choreography that you really have to admire these dancers. I haven't seen this in a long time so it's nice to see a new cast freshen it up a bit. It has such a langourous feeling in the pas de deux.

I always enjoy seeing Gary Avis dance. I didn't know of him in the earlier part of his career, but appreciate his awesome talents in present day productions like the Dante project.

Beautiful. Beautiful.Beautiful. Additionally, the piano player is such a pro. There is no great dance without great music. 😍

Jessica Anne Of course the pianist is a pro - this is his job!!
The ROH employs pianists for all the rehearsals, morning class
And everything else - what a wonderful life that must be.
      Hard work though

    Hi Christopher,
I love watching all your videos!
    You are an amazing teacher!
You remind me of my chamber music coach, Benjamin Zander (also English), but minus the zaniness!
When I was in preschool, my pediatrician recommended to my parents that I take ballet lessons.
I’ve always wondered what path this would have led me?
    I am a professional violinist.
So, I get to perform the music for ballets instead!
Thank you so much for giving the world an insight to your ballet company.
Why does ballet always have piano playing? May I ask the history of this tradition?

I do ballet and violin, too. I'm not sure which path I'll take, though.

Here is this annoying ballet master again. Although he’s not showing off as much in this rehearsal as he has in others. I had a ballet master that always did that and performed far more than any of the dancers in the studio rehearsal with an audience. Amazing how he knows how to move so much more instinctively than Meaghan...I really don’t think so.
