@@PkwyDrive13 On the centerfire rifles when shooting in low temperatures the injected metal has a tendency to crack. Ours are made of billet steel so it won't crack or break from the shock. On the rimfire it takes out a lot of the bolt slop when coming up from a fired chamber.
If the bolt shroud doesn't have a cut for an Allen key then the best way is to grab the bottom of the firing pin with a smooth jaw vice to hold it and pull away from the vice till it unscrews. If it doesn't work I'll upload a video for it tomorrow morning.
I'd like to see that video, is it up yet? I'm not sure how you grab the bottom of the firing pin when it is recessed in the bolt.@@crossroadsprecisionriflesllc
@@johnhartig7738 When the firing pin is recessed the bottom of the cocking piece still sits below the bottom of the factory shroud enough to grab with a vice. Our shroud doesn't come down as far at the back of the shroud so it is even easier to grab in a vice. I'll upload a video later of that.
Erik Cortina will be producing the shrouds and spring kits @ www.shootsmallgroups.com
Thank You Very much for this video.
Hi! Did you send it in Italy?? If yes I’ll buy now!
They are up on Erik Cortinas website www.shootsmallgroups.com so that's up to him. Check his website and it will tell you.
What is the cost of the bolt shroud for b14 ridge sp in 308 win?
Shrouds by themselves are $118.87 shipping and tax included.
What's the benefit to upgrading the bolt shroud? Does it do something different than the factory

How do I go about ordering one?

Dang, the long action doesn't have a hole to slide a small Allen through
