Hello, I love your videos!! It has helped me a lot. Would you be able to play The Greatest by Cat Power?? It’s one of my favs and I cannot find any tutorial on it 🥺
I cannot believe how simply you explained it! I started learning basic chords, but this will DEFINITELY help me remember the rarer chords. Thanks so much for this! You’re amazing!
I already knew about playing from lead sheets, but just for finding out how to create 9th, 11th and 13th chord extensions, I find this video valuable! I'm glad I watched!
Yes, This is pretty much how i play now which is great and has opened up so many songs for me. I did not get this til this year (pandemic life). now i need to go back and re learn my note reading which has fallen off. Trying to balance both. Thanks for posting.
This was really helpful, thank you. The guitarists in my band use these sheets to play our songs, having started to teach myself through lockdown, they decided keyboards would be a great addition, so glad I found this
You have no idea how much a love you right now. I have been looking for this since I started to play Lana del Rey mainly and other artists. They always have those F#m/A, and I was like.. wtf ??? And you are right : I only know when to play the chords, but I need to learn how to " embellish " the song with the way I play...(you have a video on that I know haha ). Because playing when it is written makes the song a bit dull sometimes Thanks again :) your channel is a bless (don't know if that's English, but you'll get what I meant) Oh and ... More Lana please :) 😘😘
Hi Ms. Francesca . Thank you very much I needed help with this ,,I will be honest with you it does get confusing with the way they write the chord symbols !! Thank you again for this tutorial !! Teddy !!
Wow, I wish my college piano professor had explained chords this way. You described them in a way that makes them easier to remember. I was hoping there was a trick to knowing what to do with piano tabs/guides when they don’t have a split bc I don’t know what to do with my left hand other than playing the root note or octave, or which inversion to use, but it sounds like you kind of have to have an ear for that 😅 Thank you SO much!! Truly grateful you share your teaching skills with us 🤗
You are really doing an awesome job with your tutorials - thanks for that! Maybe you could explain (in a future video) how to figure out a well fitting rhythm pattern for an accompaniment? What is the best orientation point - melody rhythm, drums, guitar part? Thanks in advance.
I just started playing piano and I love your videos!!😊 the first lesson I did was "you were good to me" by jeremy zucker and chelsea cutler. Would you consider doing a video on how to play their new song, "this is how you fall in love"?😊❤
Thanks for posting the video. The take home messages is the chords apply to the lyric lines below them. Wondering if the example you showed is a standard representation. Is there a list of these piano chord sheets that one can buy.
@@BitesizePiano Thanks for the reply. Also I forgot to ask as to how I should use them to practice i.e. which chords would I play with Left hand and which ones I would play with my Right hand. Lastly do you have a recommendation on something that I can buy to practice.
I just started playing piano today. I am 26 years old and I am just self thought. I find it harder than guitar and i dont know if i can really make it 😅 I started to feel like a failure cause my fingers hurt even in just 3 hours of practicing. Can you give me a motivation or an advice to go on guys?
@@BitesizePiano I'm trying no to some for myself in Hebrew, and i find it very frustrating. I'm putting the words in "text box" and then I'm the chords, but every change that i made, makes everything goes wild....
Writing "mj" for major chords is not very common or a standard practice. It's usually written with a capital M or "Maj". So instead of "C mj" it will be "C Maj" for C major.
When you mentioned jass chords and wrote down it's shorting i thought you are talking in a different language😆🤦 i mean english musical system has a way different system compare to hungarian for example😅
