The title is complete bollocks, the guard on foot only asked that tourist to move to make way for the changeover.Yes he was a bit of a prat with his hand hovering hesitantly in front of the animal's face but that wasn't the reason he got moved on. Horses are instinctively uncomfortable with having their faces touched, some more than others; it's their most vulnerable unprotected spot. Very few of these tourists would have a clue about that. If these tourists have to paw at the horses, at leat stroke or scratch their necks... and don't touch any part of the bridle. Better still, there should be a white boundary line on the ground to keep them out of reach, enforced by someone on the ground.

I'm astounded at the incessant complaining about the tourists, while watching the horses bob their heads because of all the metal in their mouths. Their bits are painful, but nobody cares to remark about their discomfort. Tourists petting them is nothing compared to the pain in their mouths.

@@blueandmoreblue what a load of rubbish! If the Horses were in pain, do you really think they'd bee standing there so calmly? While I agree that some bits can cause pain & discomfort, they are used by the definite Minority of people in the Equine World. People who are professional, like the Army, Professional Eventing Riders, Jockeys & trainers in the Horse Racing Industry, do not use that sort of tack, the reasons for which should be obvious. Not only are there severe penalties by the Governing Bodies of these Industries, there is the fact that these types of Horses are a considerable Investment & you would be foolishly Stupid to mistreat them. Despite everything else, many of these animals have a limited life of service & ability to keep performing at the level required, unless you have the room to retire them & keep them, they are sold on to other Equestrians, they couldn't be if their mouths are damaged. If anything makes the Horses Bob their heads, flatten their ears, kick or bite, it's the idiot Tourist, who have no idea how to behave around them, most of them can't grasp the fact that soft little pats & strokes irritate the Horses, it's like being tickled, they're are 1/4 ton of animal & when they're annoyed, they will fight back the only way they know how. While the Troopers are well trained in handling their Mounts, it still takes them time & if you have a Horse biting your shoulder or arm, you will be hurt before that happens. I wonder how many of these Tourist would go up to a strange Dog to pet it, or encourage their children to, not many I would think.

I can't blame tourists for being tourists, it's pretty obvious the horses and guards are there just for the tourists. The heavily armed police officers are the ones who are guarding the place. The guards and horses really serve no other purpose, and if they didn't allow the people close access for photos, the crowds would dwindle... It's all about the money... My guess is, no horse is added to the team unless it's passed the test of being social, allowing people to get close without panic. If you own horses, those horses will get used to you and any ranch hands they see daily, but they will not be comfortable with strangers, I'm sure they've had to work with these horses to keep calm when approached, and only the best are selected for guard duty... I've seen these horses actually lower their head for a child to reach it's nose, saw one cuddle a man in a wheelchair... if the affection is genuine the horse will know and show it's love back...

    Click bait rules now.
The _only_ interaction in this clip was the (NCO?) asking everyone nicely to move out of the way, when she walked behind the fella already there: when she turned to him because he didn't recognize her request, he apologized in typically British way and smartly hopped it without argument, and exactly _nobody_ was shocked by anything.

People must think that if they touch the horses, it will bring them luck, its the only reason i can see for them all to pile on this poor horse. We've seen the horses bite and can't wait to see a kick, sorry. At least the guy with the disability said thank you to the guard. that's how it's done.

These smaller bay horses are the ones you see pulling the gun carriages when there’s a special ceremony. Easier for tourists to reach right up to pat the forehead, which is probably why the horse is holding its ears back. It’s p’d off, bigtime.

Why don’t these people go to a Farm or Petting Zoo where the animals are there to be poked and prodded, Kent and Surrey have many working Farms, are not far away from Central London and I am sure trips could be arranged for these despicable people!!I find the actions of this Tourist Trash abominable!
