- the highly requested wavy/curly hair routine is finally here! I hope this clears everything up about my wavy / curly hair routine. I included every step I take when I'm doing the absolute most lol. Sometimes I skip plopping, sometimes I don't diffuse, sometimes I don't use gel, etc. But this video will show you how I take care of my curls / hair. Also, I strongly believe the application and technique of applying these products can be more important than the product itself. You can get completely different results just from applying something the correct way!! so don't rush out and buy everything I mentioned in this video, try using your own stuff first :) what is most important for my hair is a leave in conditioner and a curl cream.
- where do I buy my hair products?
I get everything from CosmoProf because my grandma has her beauticians license (you can only shop there if you have a license). I don't know the best places to buy these products from elsewhere! I would order from the moroccan oil website or amazon (but make sure it's the real deal if you order from amazon)

shampoo: moroccan oil hydrating shampoo
conditioner: moroccan oil hydrating conditioner
wet brush
leave in conditioner: AG fast food leave-in
curl cream: moroccan oil curl defining cream
gel: chi aloe vera curls defined control gel
microfiber towel set from amazon
turbie twist
- other favorite products not included in this routine (but I switch it up frequently)
protein shampoo: alpha keratin virtue recovery shampoo
protein conditioner: alpha keratin virtue recovery conditioner
clarifying shampoo (I use this once a month to remove silicone buildup): kenra clarifying shampoo - deep cleanse
leave in conditioner: chi aloe vera leave-in conditioner
curl cream: moroccan oil intense curl cream

to all the people saying that she doesn’t have naturally curly hair, she does. i have a similar hair type to her, i’m a 3a, but the products just help the curls stay and look less frizzy. the products help the curls look better, they don’t make the curls.
I think my hair type is 2b not sure but its like her hair (when i take care of it ) but when i don’t take care of it and just brush it, it looks like Hagrid’s hair (from Harry Potter) lol

You say that you have 3a type of hair similar to the girl in video but actually she has 2b type of hair. That is more like wavy not curly. Curly starts from 3a.😊
Her hair isnt 3a tho yours might be but hers are like a 1c or 2a

My biggest problem with my curly routine is remembering not to lay down while it's air drying, but it takes 3 hours, and usually I end up laying on the couch and messing it up

A diffuser would help u sm I had that problem and it really frustrated me but diffusers are so good for styling your hair and giving such wonderful results that last longer,, also I saw a tiktok and right after this girl defuses her hair she sticks it in a shower cap and that’s what stops your curls from dropping and losing they’re gorgeous bounce xx

It's the first time I've seen it, and it feels very relaxing to watch because the volume doesn't keep changing and I don't have to rewind to hear what was said. Like it, now wish more people I follow for tutorials did it this way, at least sometimes.

Just a tip even though it feels great to wash your hair in circular motions try side to side as it is more gentle and causes less hair to fall out or break. This is just a recommendation I'm not trying to be a twat

Finally, someone uses a wet brush! I have naturally wavy hair and the wet brush works like a dream.💖 It leaves my hair with no tangles and never hurts my head! I'm in love with it, and I encourage people of all hair types to try it out! 🥰

you should put your hair in a pineapple and if you don't want to plop it, you can just put a silk shirt or cotton shirt on the back of it and tie it in the front! I've been doing this with my 2b/2c curls and they have been looking literally the exact same when I wash it and style it! or if you can, you can just buy satin pillow cases and pineapple your hair and your good to go. but you know even if you don't do this, you can still refresh your curls the next day and that's it.

I wouldn’t say it’s “for no reason” because it unfortunately it overshadows girls with 3A+ hair types. For a long time society has made us understand that beautiful hair is straight or long beach waves.
By not using the right term for one’s hair type, it just continues to feed the misrepresentation of different hair types. As somebody rightly pointed out, now when you type curly hair, you see more and more tutorials from girls with wavy hair.
Now that girls with 3A+ hair are having their moment, it seems it’s getting overshadowed now by other people. And those people often don’t understand the impact it’s having because it’s deeper than just hair.
When you look at hair types online, you see 5 categories: Straight, Wavy, Curly, Coily and Kinky.
The problem is many girls with wavy hair get offended if you tell them their hair is wavy, not curly.
Now that curly hair has become “trendy”, many girls seem to want curly hair.
Obviously there’s a way to say things and some people are just angry, but I don’t think people are wrong to point out that girls with wavy hair should call their hair wavy.

Can you do a day 2 routine? I love how my hair air dries but my biggest issue with it is that I wash my hair 2-3 times a week and if I sleep on my wavy hair it looks so bad the next day, and if I wet it without shampooing it just looks super flat and sometimes greasy once it dries

Maybe trying gathering all your hair in the top of your head into a lose ponytail ( it’s commonly called a “pineapple”)with a bonnet or satin pillowcase ! Works for curly/kinky hair (:
Satin pillow/bonnet and put your hair in a high pony or section your hair in 4s and twist.
I have the exact same problem :( looks so nice day 1, day 2 I will revive it with water and add a little reviving mousse and it looks ok, but by the end of the day I notice the roots are super oily and I don't know why!

i have a similar hair type to hers, but in the morning the waves go flat and it looks straight and frizzy, and i'm not sure what do to.
Also, i don't really like using jell on my hair because it goes crunchy. And i want to stay away from heat as much as possible. I need some guidance
I would highly recommend checking out Manes by Mell! She has some in-depth videos on how to refresh, style, and protect wavy/curly hair and it's helped me out a lot. As for the gel, you could use a mousse instead which will still give you the same hold! But generally you can "scrunch out the crunch" of gels using your bare hands or even using a light oil as well.
Diffusing is totally optional, but you can always use cool air instead of hot. It'll just take much longer. If you want added volume without using a diffuser, try root clipping or gently switching your part while your hair is drying. Hope this helps!

this video was so relaxing to watch... i'm sitting here with my 3c/4a curls admiring your hair. natural hair is beautiful in all it's textures. LOVE it!!
Tip : when in the shower do EVERYTHING upside down ( shampoo , condition and what ever else you may do ) this prevents the curls flattening due to the high volume on the shower head which weighs your hair down and this will also add volume 😌😝🤩😘❤️
if you do this it tangles like crazy

how often are you supposed to get your hair wet in the shower every week? i’m so confuseddd
@@user-zf4yz2iu9s it honestly depends on your hair type - more oily hair should be washed more often, like once every 2-3 days. drier hair can get away with about 2 times a week. find what works for you and your hair!

I am almost 50 & my hair is 2A wavy from roots to ends LOL - I am over the moon happy about it but NO CLUE what to do with it. I am re-learning everything I ever knew about hair care LOL... If I turn my head upside down & blow dry (low heat/HIGH air flow) until it's dry, I am a FRIZZ MONSTER these days! Air drying is key=) I always thought a curl defining cream would be heavy/sticky. I can't wait to try your method!!!

Love this! I think my curly hair is so difficult. I buy and try everything. I must waste thousands. Not very many folks I know understand the struggle. They always say oh you are so lucky to have curls. I say I know right but they don't realize the time and effort it takes.
your videos made me realize I have curly hair and I would like to tell you this because I feel like you have changed my perspective on hair. I started out with frizzy unmanageable hair. I was looking into permanent hair straighteners when I came across your video. I bought my first diffuser and some curling cream. Instantly I saw results. My hair was soft and pretty for once! I bought more products and my hair is now curly! I have never felt more happy with my hair and I have done many experiments with my hair and I have found what works best for me. I would recommend you don’t put your hair in a towel as that drags the curls. I recommended to just let it dry without the towel. This has made results in my hair. Thank you for changing my life!

You’d get a lot more curl and definition if you applied your products while your hair was sopping wet (we have similar hair types👍🏻👍🏻)

I'm going to try this. My hair has never been straight or curly natural. After watching your other video on discovering you have curly hair, I'm starting to think maybe I do too. It's always frizzy because I brush it out of the shower... never realized that it meant my hair may have a natural wave to it. Thanks so much! Your hair is gorgeous!

I’m in middle school and have thin to normal hair and it’s kinda wavy but Idk how to really take care of it and over this break is the longest I’ve gone without using heat and I just see a frizzy non consistent curl pattern that just wants to clump together if that makes any sense so now I’m benge watching your videos to try and figure it out!!
Learnt today that I have 2C hair with 3A curls , I’ve gotten a pretty established hair routine and when I use my den dem brush it’s even curlier!

those are 2b/2c waves, 3a curls are more like spirals.
Her hair is a lot like mine they are spirals but she has longer hair so it weighs it down and makes them look more like waves but if you look at them closer you can tell it is curly it’s just bigger and weighed down but it’s a mix between curly and wavy if that makes sense

Game Over well it’s a bit more complicated then that when someone bleaches or dyes their hair and it’s long the hair is weighed down a lot so the curls would be loosened. I don’t think we should be telling her what her hair type is since she probably knows better then us!! but you do have a really good point :)
@@briebrie2538 I just want to say that my hair type is 3a and its not like her's and a lot more like "spiral" shape. I have longer hair (and thicker) than hers and it doesn't affect my curls. I have bleached it as well... it just look different 💇🏻♀️ her hair is really pretty but I think it's wavy 😊
a slice of pizza first off I want to say you have a lovely curl pattern!! I always wanted 3a hair instead of 3c, anyway, I think that so many things impact hair health, texture and pattern so I don’t think other people can tell what curl pattern you truly have. I thought I had wavy hair until I cut it and stopped bleaching it. went from 2c to 3c!!

Your hair don’t look like a 3a. Its more 2b, 2c. The 3a tipe have more Curls, yours have more waves. But its one of the most beautiful wave hair I ever seen 💕
