- Dani Walker, who was Miss Montana USA in 2018, is not surprised by the resignations of Miss USA, Miss Teen USA and the group’s social media director over allegations of a toxic workplace and harassment. Walker tells “Dan Abrams Live” there were warning signs for weeks before the resignations. One big alarm: Miss USA went one month between public appearances. She says people in the organization have shared some hints about what’s going on, but can’t speak freely because of nondisclosure agreements.

Some pageants are amazing with charity work and scholarships. It’s not always about looks
Yes, I completely agree. All the yadda yadda about feminism and scholarships is just deflection from what is basically a soft-porn industry.
But you know that’s not gonna happen right? A lot of these women join pageants to better their lives. Whoever wins a title gets to have a lot of doors open for them. It’s not just a recognition that they’re after but for the rest of their lives that puts these women a leverage amongst others. Unfortunately there are rotten eggs who spoil these organizations and they ruin it for the girls. Some are just after power and money. They need someone who will empower them, guide them, in support of them and their future.

The Miss Universe Organization has been silent because they are dealing with their own issues-the owner’s leaked video of her clearly stating what their intentions are on how they should be selecting the winner. So it is my understanding that no matter who the judges pick it’s ultimately the owner’s last say. Her talk about inclusivity doesn’t necessarily mean she will pick the right candidate for the role. I wouldn’t be surprised if this year, just to make people think she isn’t what people saw on the video that she will select an older or trans candidate as the winner. Ultimately the organization is quickly falling apart.

Even reality TV networks don’t restrict their contestants to the level this new Miss USA org does. She issued a warning to all the women currently vying for the title and it would be so informative for your viewers to hear what she knows about the contract!
