    The bond market is leading interest rates in US downwards not upwards (delta between real cost of borrowing and fed rates is now unsustainable). Rates went up dramatically from near zero to 5% in a short space of time. In no sense was anybody trying to hold rates down. The Fed is independent of the president aside from appointment. Their mandate is price stability and labour market health. They don’t set rates based on risk of a riot.
    Russia is a different story and much more opaque. Recent CBR stats show massive fall in energy revenues as a proportion of GDP vs massive increase in non energy revenues in a market that is traditionally over reliant on energy sector (with no explanation for the latter). When combined with strict capital controls in Russia, true value of rouble very unclear and something could easily snap there with or without an election.

    You didn't say something conclusively. You have to pick the point either the scenario is positive or negative, that is your actual market wisdom. It is another thing you are negative about the real estate market. Not impressed.
