the sound I get from stacking my DS-2 into my SD-1, is insanely glorious, think Evolution by Pearl jam, the thing just screams like a broken megaphone in the best way ever
You should 100% put the SD1 in front of the DS1. Sd1 works better as a boost into another drive pedal, or driven amp
I put my sd1 into a ds2 and it’s absolutely amazing, heavily recommend :)
I run an sd1 into a bd2 and dear lord it’s incredible
I’m experimenting with this combo. I’m liking the SD-1w into the BD-2w, but the reverse of that is quite delightful, too.
I bought mine at a pawn shop 15 years ago for 5 dollars and its still my go to overdrive or boost
Use it driving an already dirty amp, you get those frequencies that start canceling each other….I love that. I set it right before that starts happening so when you dig…well, you know.
one of the best ODs out there including boutique pedals IMO.
It’s such a classic 👍 Nice video and good sounds 🎸 Thanks!
Truly a great pedal!
Agreed
Nice video! Thanks 😊
First time buying guitar pedals:
What is the biggest difference between the SD-1 and the DS-1 in terms of sound produced? I assume the DS-1 is has more aggressive clipping?
The circuits differ a bit, but simply put there's much more gain available in the DS-1 and not as much of a midrange "hump" EQ-wise as the SD-1.
Hello, how do you not get feedback? I have an electromatic gretsch and she doesnt handle the dirt well

Great pedal but you just butchered it.
What a mess
So it makes a good sounding amp sound worse, got it.
@@rickfennell7849 Low end is for bass players.
Been using it since 04🤙
It may be because people are not pushing the front end of their amp hard enough. What I mean is that having the level control really high and having the gain almost completely down, then you are getting more of the amp’s overdrive sound than the pedal. If you are talking about the tone in general, it might just be a matter of taste. I personally like the mids it adds to my tone. I like using it through a distorted amp that’s just before the point of fizzing up and falling apart, and it just sounds great to me. Better than the tube screamer IMO.
