Our little Shooms is fantastic!
The most interesting part of him was that you can see his face changed when he finished his programs.
He has one of the best connection to and interpretation of the music. I keep watching his Free Skate at the Olympics now. (P.S. Olympic Channel please upload his FS)
As much as I love Yuzu and rooted for him to win the Olympics, I now appreciate Shoma better. He closed out the Olympic figure skating event perfectly and with much impact.
And for those saying the “silver curse” I think this boy doesn’t care much for winning as much as Yuzuru does (it’s not a bad thing to be competitive). But I can see in Shoma a pure soul with so much talent who truly just enjoys skating. He has the “happy to be here and great if I can win” vibe which is more than what I can say for other silver medalists who are so entitled to winning gold.
I’m rooting for you Shoma!
tbh u can tell shoma enjoys doing this and that he's doing it because he deeply loves it and that he cares less about being high scored and more about that he did what he wanted to do and that he wants to focus on doing art then get gold

I hope shoma will peak again in the coming olympic season. He's had it rough the last few seasons but now that, at least I think he seems happier and more content with himself, maybe we'll see him on the Olympic podium again
