January 2021 Geochron Update with The Moon

The latest adjustment to the Geochron digital 4K software automatically arrived at my Atlas device a few days ago. This includes a change to the colors used to render real-time precipitation data. Also, the newest additional feature is a Moon Phase icon in the upper, left portion of the map. To put it simply, this looks cool! Meanwhile, there are hints that Geochron will introduce new-and-improved digital Geochron hardware at some point in 2021. Looks like I might have to get a second Geochron this year after all. Meanwhile, they assure us that they will continue to support older Geochron hardware for as long as possible into the future.

I have wanted a Geochron for years, but the price put me off. Finally took the dive, was soo impressed, I bought a 4k UHD tv set to *really* enjoy the detail that is available on the maps and features. As I am also a Ham op, this makes it easy to see where the DX is and chase the gray line.

I have a 6-year-old daughter who has basically taken control of our digital Geochron. She not only enjoys looking at it but also knows how to change the settings AND has a really great understanding of what it all means. I am a proud father.
