English VAs always make youth and young adult characters sound like they’re in their late 20s, but then act out scenes as if they’re tweens and teens (ex: “Omg that boy we both know is over there! Do you LIKE like him?! 😏) That’s an immersion breaker for me.
Also the tone used for English Mythra is absolutely disgusting. The disaffected “whatever” girl voice is NOT the voice of the Aegis.
Just my preference tho.

Xenoblade 2: Aftermath, something to do with Rex trying to find a way to gain easy access to Elysium for everyone.
This part basically goes over to the rest of the gang getting the rest of the world's population to there. I haven't completed the game yet so forgive me if it died but this time the final enemy is that super leviathan gaurding the way.
The main issue that came around is that the beast came across the Monoceros and ate the thing. In doing so, it basically swallowed a load of blades that were processed through the body. This made it UBER POWERED, to a point it's final boss material.
This leads to Lora's decrystalization because the beast was able to process the crystal thuroughly but Lora gets... To say the least pooped out because of how long the crystal took. With this in play, we have Lora as a replacement for Rex in the party.
The leader of the operation is thrown at Morag. She is the only one who knows a thing about giving large scale orders, so that's a given. Nia is basically to be an assistant diplomat to eventually get everyone on board with the idea of going to the tree.
First stop: Mor Ardain, but then afterwards immediately sent to the Argentum trade guild for supplies and information on whether or not they could make articial ships en masse with help. Here you meet Lora, being picked up by a salvaging crew a few clicks (I think that's the nautical term) away from the Monoceros's death zone.

@@redshepherd32 At least Rex _tries_ to make up for his mistake in that heated moment during a random post-battle dialogue that can happen from then on if Nia and Rex are both active. Doesn't fix the fact he turned down best girl until you get to the special Title Screen varient for beating NG+, but at least he _tries_ to make up for his heat-of-the-moment stupidity.

Honestly, that one was one of the best ones emotional wise. Her face matched that tone perfectly now only if she didn't sound like she was trying to channel the inner sandy from Spongebob and sound like she founded texas itself she would have done even better. The "he's a boy" line sounded way too western.
Honestly is. Sounds like something my gf would say when her friends were teasing her about liking me before we got together. "I'll cut you" or "Do you want to see tomorrow?" Sound super creepy out of context but just take my word for it.

I can't believe I forgot just how amazing Nia's voice acting is. That said, just like the other characters her voice acting sometimes lacks direction, but that's not her VA's fault. Either way, I could never imagine Nia with any other voice.

I have to admit, I love this dub way more than I would have liked an american or otherwise "clean" version. It has so much more character and charme to it, with all it's imperfections, and will stay memorable for way longer. Note, the lip syncing is horrible, but that doesn't make the dub in itself purely bad (moreso, I've heard that even for the japanese voices it was... off).
And welsh has to be the best accent there is, hands down.
The American version is mostly plain more of the times that's why I don't like dubs.
Probably the only dubs that I enjoyed are from Xenoblade franchise and Nier automata

If there's one thing I can credit Xenoblade for, it's giving characters legitimate and varied accents from here in the UK, as opposed to any British character being either "Guy/gal with stereotypical posh accent" or "Lovable Cockney boi/gurl". Exact reason Bloodborne pleases me in the same way, with Eileen and her common-as-muck Yorkshire accent that makes me feel right at home. It's nice to have people put the time in and show that the UK has more than 2/3 accents.
It makes the titans feel like actual countries. In Japenese there's only so many accents you can have.
Japan has a lot of dialects as well, they're just harder to perceive unless you understand Japanese same way any British/American accent sounds the same to somebody who's not fluent/doesn't expose himself to a lot of different varieties of English.
