    Probably the most in depth and down to earth owner review of any bike I have ever seen, very well done and thank you. Went into a Triumph dealership in Glasgow with my heart set on a Speed Triple but an 821 caught my eye and after watching several reviews it's this one that has swayed me towards the Ducati. Thanks again and cheers

    I've test ridden all sorts of bikes including speed triple, s1000r, mv stradale 800, and this monster 821, also owned other big sport bikes too and I can honestly say I had the most fun on the Ducati, didn't go the fastest but it's all about how that engine makes you feel and out of all the bikes I've ridden that L twin brought the biggest smile to my face

    My decision was between this and the 765 Street Triple R. Test rode the Monster, really liked it, except for the engine heat (I see no reason for that to happen on a liquid-cooled bike). Then I rode the Street Triple. It's miles better in every department, maybe except looks. Bought the Triumph that same day.

      @@Tsoglani55 The dealer said it was rare and only mine, but then again they said they havent seen one with that many miles. So what would happen is that at about every 18k miles the injectors had to be replaced. It rode fine and everything but as soon as you turned off the bike, say to pump gas then turn it back on it wouldnt turn on until the temperature dropped to exactly 150. The only time it got scary was one time i was at a red light the clutch slipped so it turned off and when i went to turn it back on it wouldnt (till it got to 150) so i had to get off and push it off the road with cars flying by. with ducati id buy new bro, and ALWAYS buy the extended warranty. that extra 600 bucks has saved me thousands of dollars. i just got it done for the 3rd time like 2 weeks ago im at 54 thousand miles now im sure by law its considered a lemon i might seek the courts to have ducati pay for it if and when it happens the fourth time because my extended warranty is over this year

    just bought the new 2018 monster and its is a lot like the old monster but now u have a fuel indicator and gear display, the new tft display is really good and i wish they gave the monster with the wind screen it would really have helped!! and it still heats up to much and the gear is really notchey and the clutch is really strong. but appart from that the bike is a bomb !! and if u have the cash go for the street tripple rs, want value for money go for z900 but over all its the monster !! mt09 is also a good bike but it feels like all the electronics are just for show and its dosent provide any information the service is even worse and its a lack more than the monster so choose carefully !!

      I ride Diavel, came from Bmw Gtl 1600 and let me say that this small bike with 821cc can torque really good. In india you dont need to change the mode, all are going to do well. Out of india it does matter since the grip is much more in progress, no muddy roads. I am bombed what shit he just said. This bikes suspension is not soft and you are going to feel the road pretty well. Since roads are muddy and dirty, you cant hit brakes hard. It is going to release abs and the whole movement will shove things into the tyres. It is best to not reach abs unless you want to change tyres like him. I didnt have to change tyres for 18000.
      Il he damned if i saw him doing speed turns 😂

    Hello Aneesh, nice review. I have the same Monster 821 Dark (2016) and I noticed that you also have the same motorcycle suitcase set (made by Givi). I recognize the braces that a are positioned at the back of your Monster. I'm looking for spare parts for the suitcase. The connector (that can be screwed on and of the suitcas itself) on the right side.of my suitcase is broken. Do you know where to find a new connector including a new key. I can't find it anywhere in Europe. Thanks in advance. Greetings Berry Philippi.

    wrong info given by this guy
    its not 220kgs its only 205kgs fully loaded,
    in the city you will get a mileage of 14 to 15kms on the highway 24 to 25kms per litre.
    and the bike does feel heavier than what is because it is top heavy bike.

    • @aneeshpatnaik
      @aneeshpatnaik Před 6 lety +2

      SUHRUD the weight is with adding the ducati panniers set and the front and rear axel guards and the crash guards. And the average is what the bike gives me. Admittedly I have a heavier right wrist than most others.
      And no I disagree the bike is top heavy. It is completely neutral in handling for a 2015 bike especially compared to the older monster or even the z800. And I have the older 796 to compare. Parked right next to my 821.
